10th Anniversary Dinner at Coral Reef

My husband and I (and my son) are celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniverary at the Coral Reef Restaurant in just 14 more days! When I made our reservations, I did mention it to the lady on the phone and she said she will mark that on our reservations -- Do you think that they will do something nice for us or should I tell our front desk to have a cake or special dessert or something brought out to us -- I was just wondering if anyone knew or has experienced any special events at Disney lately! Thanks!

If you would like to order a special cake you need to do that now before you leave. There is a number to call to order cakes and an entire thread devoted to it. If you search for 'cake hotline" you will probably find it.

As far as whether or not the restaurant will do something is anyones guess. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. They could give you a complementary glass of champagne, or they could bring you a cupcake, or simply write happy anniversary on your dessert plate in chocolate, or they could be really busy and forget. If you want to be sure to have something special you really should arrange it ahead of time with the restaurant.

There is a "Cake Hotline" for Guests requesting celebratory cakes at most Table Service dining locations. The Cake Hotline number is 407-827-2253 and requires 48 hours notice.

I don't know if they still do it but When we went back for our 1st anniversary they made custom menues for us with our pictures. I also set up to have the diver dive and hold a sign up for my DH. We were seated right in front of the tanks. It was 2 years ago so I don't know if they still offer it, it was free at the time and I called the manager of the restaurant directly. There used to be a thread on it somewhere on here.

All you need to do is call the Coral Reef at 407 560 6636. The can arrange a diver and you can send photos for the special menu. I know they have to have this information in advance but not sure how for in advance for them to be able to do this for you.

I called the Coral Reef today and they no longer provide this service as of last year! Thank you for all of the advice though because I am going to order a cake and surprise my husband!
