.....

Little problem with your response...Tusker House is not in Epcot, but in Animal Kingdom, another very small-child friendly theme park. Mama Melrose is a moderate (not fancy) restaurant located not in Epcot, but in MGM. Both Beaches and Cream and O'hanas are located at on-site resort hotels...not in Epcot. Oh! And Cosmic Rays is in Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom!!! Again, variety is available to those who choose to look. And by the way, you can see plenty of not only Mickey Mouse but lots and lots of other Disney characters (including Belle in France and Alladin, Jasmine, and the Genie in Morocco) in Epcot, often without having to wait on horrible long lines for autographs. That, combined with the attractions at Future World, Malestrom in Norway, and the evening fireworks made Epcot my then DD2 and DS5 one of their favorite places...rivaling MK.

My little one's want to go see Cinderella and Mickey Mouse and therefor we will be eating and having our meals at MK where they deserve to be, not at boring Epcot just so Mommy and Daddy could go have their fancy dinners....

:confused3
My kids love Epcot...we never have fancy dinners there, just casual ones...and there are lots of characters at Epcot, too, and a few fun rides for little ones, too.

My kids ages on our past 5 trips have been:
7, 5, 3 1/2
6, 4, 2 1/2
4, 2, 10 months
2 1/2, 8 months
1 1/2

We always go to Epcot, and all 3 of them have loved it every time they've been! If you take the time to go there, and plan for the fun things for them to do, you may be pleasantly surprised with Epcot!

Wow! I posted and then went to bed. A lot has happened since then.

I just want to tell the OP that I was not being sarcastic or defensive of Disney. I was trying to show you different options besides chicken fingers and mac and cheese. I was trying to be helpful. Instead of going through the menus, I was just listing what my little DD ate because that is what I knew.

I think that if you try, you can find places, even at MK, that do not serve chicken fingers and mac and cheese. I think another poster listed some places. For some reason, I guess, we haven't eaten much at MK. That is because we usually do the breakfasts (CP and Cinderella and Chef Mickey). Then we hop to EPCOT in the afternoon or something else. So we haven't really eaten at many lunch/dinner places at MK. My DDs love the princesses and Pooh and Mickey and gang too. That's why we usually stick to the breakfasts. We usually do the latest breakfast time available so that it serves as a kind of brunch, and then we eat an early dinner.

The only "fancy dinner" I think I listed was California Grill and we went there for our 10th Anniversary dinner. My kids like it because of the view of the fireworks.
