Woo hoo and congrats, C Ann!! Your darn tootin' that's a sign! And I would take it as a good sign! :) Enjoy your new ride!

I bet it will make that trip to WDW all the easier. No promises for the drive home though. That one isn't ever quite as fun. ;)

C. Ann :thumbsup2 I think you did very well! I was a carsales person until Dec. (quit to help with my mother) You did great getting a certified pre-owned with the extended warranty. It is the only way to go. A certified means that is has been inspected and has to measure up to the warranty it offers. The secret is if they think it is going to need fixing, they don't want to put the warranty on it :) You also get a better interest rate if you are financing. I worked at a Ford dealership and can tell you the Chrysler T&C van is one of the best on the market. Lee Iacoca wanted to do this at ford and they would not let him so he took his idea to Chrysler and they ran with it. :confused3 Ford's loss! I know that most people don't like carsalesman, and I understand after working around them some are sharks, a carsalesman does not have to be that way, I wasn't. I was the top salesperson where I worked and was voted #2 by the public last year for our county. The key is to be nice, never lie and if you don't know, tell them you don't and that you will find out the answer together. Congrats again, you did well!! Also Hubby probably sent you a sign :grouphug:

Sounds perfect, and the date sounds like a good sign to me too. Good for you. I love used cars, I don't think I will ever be able to bring myself to buy new again... except if DH decides he really wants a mini cooper, I doubt we could find a used one very easily.

After 16 years of wanting but waiting, we finally bought a CT & C this past Aug. We got a "new" used van, the color I wanted, low mileage, and some pretty cool extras. Its more van that I ever thought to own and we got a screaming deal on it. Very lucky!

Congrats to you!!! I just know you will enjoy your new van. Im real happy for you!!!! :cool1:

:cheer2: Glad you found a van you love for a great price. :cheer2:

We drove mini-vans for years because we had four kids, but once they all started driving themselves around, we got a small SUV. It was good on gas, I liked the four-wheel drive in the snow, it wasn't very comfortable but we lived with it. The biggest problem arose when I had to go to dog shows. I couldn't fit two open crates, two folded crates, an ex-pen, my grooming bag, my suitcase and hanging clothes in the car -- too small. So last fall we got an '03 CT&C. The only thing it doesn't have is stow & go, and I really wish it did, but we'll manage. It does have a DVD player -- I'll probably never use it. The most important thing is the amount of space I now have. I'm really looking forward to the show season this year -- it's going to be a lot easier now!

Sounds like a really sweet ride! We have the Dodge Caravan SXT and love it. If we could have afforded it we would have loved to get the T & C. They just look nice, plus with all the room and features, it is great for all those trips to and from Disney.

Congratulations! I personally think you can't beat minivans for the comfort and space.

We are currently going through the exact same situation, but with a Toyota Sienna. We've decided we want one, and due to a few issues, need it to be 2004+. Buying a new one seems easier, because they're all the same and it's easier to price shop.

A certified vehicle is great though, if you find a low mileage one. :Pinkbounc

Good news!

I think a mini van is one of the best values around. I'm still driving a 14 yo GMC and it's sitll going strong.

GMC doesn't make my model now, so don't know aht we going to get to replace it.

herc.

Hi C. Ann! First of all, congratulations on your new purchase! We absolutely love our 2001 Town and Country and plan on eventually buying a newer one like you. We really would like the stow and go seating. My question is, can you give me some tips on how you were able to haggle the dealer down to that price? When ever DH and I go car shopping or even car looking, it's me and never DH that has to do the bargaining, and I'm not very good at it! Thanks in advance.

I really like the stow and go seats, they are real handy. Don't ask me how I know :)

OK I'll tell, me and DW drive to Disney all the time, sometimes without the kids. Any way one time late at night, traveling to Disney, DW got frisky and the stow and go's got stowed and we went, if you know what I mean. :teeth:

Congratulations C.Ann! I know the color blue you're talking about, and it looks really good on those vans, at least I think it does, lol!
