So - we are visiting DL in Sept and want to start a new tradition. For years when we were younger we would start off with Mickey Pancakes @ River Belle and head to PotC. We want to do something new now.

Tell me 101 new traditions (if you can) to start at Disneyland. That way if someone reads the thread they can pick and choose what best fits them as well.

*********EDITING 08/19/10**********************************
1. Start the day with Mickey Pancakes at River Belle Terrace.
2. Start the fun on Pirates of the Caribbean.
3. Have a silhouette of the kids done (or yourself!).
4. Ride the Jungle Cruise at night...it just makes it so much better.
5. Get your picture taken with Mickey.
6. Share a premium Mickey ice cream bar.
7. Have breakfast at the Carnation Cafe just after the park opens. It is fun to watch other starting their days.
8. Take a picture in front of the Partners Statue.
9. Always say good morning and good night to Walt as you pass his apartment above the fire station.
10. Bring a bag of coins to make wishes in the Snow White wishing well.
11. Have a Dole Whip or pineapple juice when watching the Tiki Room show.
12. Take the time to read the "Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy" sign on your way through the tunnels into the park.
13. Ask to say ‘hi’ to Chef Oscar if he is working at Carnation Cafe that day.
14. Visit the Tiki Room while Maynard is working, and don't forget to bring your paper napkin hats.
15. Eat a Tigger Tail or Cheshire Cat Tail while sitting all the way at the back of Hungry Bear so that you can watch the train pass by.
16. Take your picture with the Mr. Toad statue in the queue.
17. Get a fortune from Esmeralda on Main Street on your way out of the park for the day.
18. Hightail it to Peter Pan and make it your first ride.
19. Take a picture of Main Street before it gets too crowded.
20. Take a peek at the Candy store to see the candy of the day.
21. Eat at the Carnation Cafe for your first meal in the park, whether it's for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
22. Make Buzz Lightyear your first ride of the day, so you have a score to try to beat for the rest of your vacation!
23. Regardless of crowds, walk thru World of Disney every time you pass it just to get your fix.
24. Get a giant cupcake to share and take it back to your hotel room. Eat while relaxing and, preferably, watching the Disney Channel, before bed.
25. Open one Vinylmation at every meal.
26. Say ‘How’ to the Wooden Indian as you walk down Main Street sorry I do that every time.
27. Buy a Mickey pretzel with Nacho cheese!!!!! Yummy!!!!
28. Try to pull the sword out of the anvil.
29. Look for the Eeyore sign while going through the Indy queue.
30. Have lunch at the Hungry Bear, by the water, and wave at the boats.
31. Ride the teacups at night.
32. Have hot cocoa as you watch the fireworks on Main Street.
33. Start the day off with a nice lunch at Naples or Wine Country Trattoria and then toast to a great day with a Prosecco or a Stanford.
34. Share a churro.
35. Watch the sunset over DCA together.
36. First ride of the day-California screamin to get the blood pumpin!
37. Eat lunch at the Blue Bayou.
38. Purchase some mouse ears.
39. Take a picture of your family/kids in the same unusual place every trip. (Ours is our kids on the steps of the tree house).
40. Point out the gold bolt right after you exit the castle and let someone who didn't know that it marks the centre of the entire park!
41. We walk through the right tunnel every time we enter Disneyland.
42. We must get mint juleps, preferably at the mint julep bar and sit watching the Bachelors at French market.
43. We make a final round trip on the DLRR from Main Street before we leave, and be all sad in our last moments.
44. Our first day routine is to grab FPs for Indy, hit Pirates, HM, Splash, then grab a couple of skewers at Bengal BBQ before riding Indy.
45. Ride Big Thunder at night. It's so different and so much more fun to ride at night than the day.
46. Walk around the Disney Gallery or Disneyland stores. Even if you can't afford all the art, it's still nice to look at.
47. Find a Penny Press Machine in each land and press a penny. Each machine has a few options of images so each time you go back to DL you can get a different penny!
48. Go to the Bazaar and rub the magic lamp.
49. Buy beignets on the walk back to your hotel at night to have for breakfast the next morning.
50. Billy Hill and the Hillbillies and an ice cream sundae in the corner booth.
51. Take a pic of the kids on the staircase by Pirates in New Orleans Square.

3. Have a silhouette of the kids done (or yourself!)

I would love to do this! Where do I find it?

The silhouette studio is on Main Street, if you are walking towards the castle it is on the right side, I think about half way down or more. I believe the cost is $9 per person and you get two (mirror images). The frames are extra, but very reasonably priced. :thumbsup2 I would highly recommend going when Sylvia is there. She has been there for 30 + years and is incredible! We had a different lady do them last time we were there and I still regret not coming back when Sylvia was there. They turned out ok, but Sylvia just does an awesome job!
