Ours is tomorrow. My daughter's taking macaroni....what did your kid take?

ours was last Tuesday and my 1st grader took 100 mickey stickers we got from check in at Fort Wilderness. There are great people over there!:hippie:

She wore a shirt with 100 beads glued onto it. She also took a bag full of 100 pennies.

Carter took 100 Hot Wheels to count. They cooked 100 chicken nuggets and cut up 100 pieces of fruit for lunch.

Our 100th day is Feb 23. I don't know if the kids have to bring in something, but the PTO is having a dance / fundraiser, which is usually a lot of fun.

I do child care and helped my little 1st grader design a big flower and she covered with 100 colorful flower stickers. She was so tickled when she got to class it was one of a kind!

What is100th day? Never heard of it. My youngest graduated from college 7 years ago though.

Ours is Thursday. They haven't sent anything home yet which is unusual because every year they have. I haven't thought about what they should bring and I definately don't want to have to go out and buy anything.

The school i teach at is having its 100th day on Friday...the kids are excited to be bringing thigns in..so far, one child has brought legos

School kids keep track of the number of days they have gone to school during the year. On the 100th day they celebrate and often bring in 100 of something.

We just got our note today to bring the stuff in tomorrow. My husband said he was just going to give her a dollar:rolleyes: .

If I'd been thinking about it we would have gotten something cooler than macaroni, but that's what I had on hand.

One year when the kids were young, we made a sucker tree. Took a branch and stuck it in a weighted pot. We tied string to 100 suckers and hung them up on it. When the teacher thought the kids deserved a treat she would let them take a sucker. There was enough for the class to get 4 treats each.

My daughter took............poker chips, that apple didn't fall far from
the tree;)

My son has to bring his 100 items in displayed creatively. Sorry, but I can't stand this type of project. He's in 1st grade and a lot of the time it looks like a parent has done the project for their child. Any ideas for how to display 100 of the same things creatively?

This is not too creative..but if you are stuck, it may work
In the past, we have taken a piece of posterboard and divided it into 10 spaces and put 10 of the item in each spot..so it was 100 and it was divided by 10s and we were able to count by tens.... (does that makes ense?!)

Or glue the 100 items into a number 100 on a poster

One of my girls took in 100 water balloons (not filled, of course) and the other one took in 100 tootsie rolls.

I'm a 1st grade teacher and I had mercy on my parents this year :lmao: We had a 100 themed breakfast- each child received 2 pancakes and 1 sausage link. They had to figure out why it was on their plate- they made a 100 out of the food, then ate it.

We completed a few writing activities. I gave each child a 100 dollar bill (notepad) and they had to write what they would do if the had 100 dollars. My favorite, though, is their drawings of what they will look like when they are 100 years old. They wrote about it, also, and it looked kind of like this:

When I am 100 years old, I will ware denchurs. I will have gray hare. I will play with my grandjildren. I will nit blankts.:lmao:

Our's is Wednesday.

My ds (Kindy) I am trying to bribe him with cherrios.

My dd (2nd), I haven't received a note yet & she isn't sure either but she wants to bring in 100 bolts or screws (not sure yet).

I like the macaroni idea too.

Ours has to fit in a gallon zip lock bag.

How about 100 crayons, markers, erasers, etc...something that can be left in school.
