where?

If you had $1000 to spend on a trip where would you go. It would be you and your SO. You could go anywhere but can't spend a dime over $1000.

Also, any length of time, the trip could be 2 days or a week, but again, not over $1000. (not inc. food)

WDW - we never spend more than $1k on a week or more and that includes food and stuff we buy. Course, we have "connections" and get free admission, discounted food and merchandise, discounted hotel and a free place to stay if we don't want a hotel. So, essentially, we pay airfare, usually a rental car, lots of meals out, and fun stuff.

This next vacation will be about $1k - we're heading to NYC. Again, we have connections so we'll be staying with family/friends so we're just paying for airfare, food, and entertainment.

I just spent about that much on a week in Paris.

I would either be in Vegas for a few days (free rooms and cheap airfare plus all the free food) or a week in the Outer Banks (we do it on about $1000 every year!)

Vegas, baby, Vegas! Although judging from how well I did in the DIS Fantasy Football League last year, I'd need every bit of that $1,000.00!!! :teeth:

calistoga-mud baths, hot stone massages, hot air ballon rides. guess i could do it for 1000.00 and stay 3 nites.

Two nights at the Four Seasons (anywhere) with killer dinner reservations, massages, and cocktails/conversation late into the night.

Been to Vegas too many times to count. So leaving from my home city and just on that budget I would have to say Seattle. I haven't been there yet and enjoy nice hotels and dining. You didn't say how long the vacation had to be so I would pick 2 nights 3 days in seattle LOL So I could get a nicer hotel. I would rather stay home then stay at someones home or in a dumpy hotel.

where?

The bank.

If not there, then either NC (fishing) or OH (family).

I'd like to go to Washington DC and see all the museums. I'd also like to walk
down thru where the cherry blossoms bloom.

If I had $1000 to spend, Id go on a cruise.. Carnival does great deals on inside cabins.. We've done a 7 day cruise for 2 for less than that.. This includes the food.. Alcohol is extra, but you dont have to drink-- although if you get a good enough deal you may have a little left to allow for a few drinks.. You dont have to buy any pictures or souvenirs.. At the ports, you can make it as cheap as you want.. there are always beaches to go to for little or nothing or you can stay on the ship and lay out, etc..

Thats what Id do..

And then some...... ;)

Since I'm presently SO-less I'd take my best friend on a road trip to Colorado. Or maybe I'd just go it alone.

Probably a cruise. I know my DH really wants to go on a family trip to a fishing camp, and I could handle it for a couple of days, but there is no way I could do $1000 worth of fishing. :lmao:
