Journaling what you eat is a great way to keep track of your food. I still do that if I've been a little too naughty for an extended time. My worst time of the day is the afternoon. I try to have a healthy snack and then chew gum. It keeps my mouth occupies with something besides food!
Another thing that has worked well for me and my family is to spend an hour once a week planning out dinners. I write is down in my planner and then I can pull out what I need from the freezer the night before. It keeps us from doing last minute unhealthy dinners. I love that it is fall again. I do a lot of crock pot meals of healthy soups and stews. They are very filling, don't use as much meat and are loaded with veggies. We are super busy with football and soccer, so if I can get dinner done in the morning, we don't run out for fast food or cook a frozen pizza. My youngest doesn't like veggies so much, but he eats them when they are mixed in with things. You CAN DO IT!
Keep us updated on your progress.
