My son is going to be 10 when we are at Disney this December so according to the Disney rules he is an adult. I have no problem following the rules but I want to make up my budget and have some questions for those of you who have these child adults.

We could only get the Brown Derby for the fantasmic dinner package and there is really nothing he will eat on the adult menu. Will they let him eat off the child menu?

If they will let him eat off the child menu should i budget an adult price? Since it isn't a buffet I am not sure how much they would charge him. Anyone ever have this issue? What did they do.

Again, I have no problem paying whatever they require but I really hope he can at least order something he will actually eat.

Disney is very accommodating. They will have no problem letting your son order off of the kids menu, and will likely even upsize it to an adult size dinner.

Since it's a package, you will be paying the adult price for him, but like I said, they're generally very good about accommodating different wants & needs.

This doesn't apply to the Brown Derby specifically, but it's still Disney. When we ate at Kona, our friend's daughter didn't want anything off the adult menu (she was 13), so they gave her a kids meal instead. She was on the regular dining plan still paying adult price. I think she got a hot dog of all things:scared1: Seemed like a waste of money to me, (she did this more than once), but she was happy.
