I am taking the family (2 children, my wife and myself) to Disney in May 04. The day we arrive is 1 day after we arrived for our Honeymoon 10 years ago. Can anyone/everyone offer any suggestions as to how I can surprise my wife, possibly with a renewal ceromny, or soe such thing, as she has helped plan the rest of the trip. We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge.

Thanks,

Jeff,

You could plan an intimate vow renewal, but it is pretty expensive for a surprise kind of thing, several thousand dollars even for the smallest of vow renewals.

A less formal option is to arrange a "rehitching" at that restaurant in Epcot...I'm sure someone knows exactly what I am talking about and will chime in...

Another option would be for the two of you to go to one of the outdoor areas (Yacht Club Gazebo, Sea Breeze Point, the outdoor location at the Poly) and say your vows to each other all over again (don't make it look too official, or the Disney security types will come and yell at you)...And follow it up with a dinner reservation at the CG during the fireworks.

Make sure on your reservations everywhere you mention it is an anniversary trip.

It is the Garden Grill at Epcot that does the rehitching ceremony. Be sure to mention it when you make PS and again when you reach the podium to check in...

You also might want to contact Gifts of a Lifetime, they might have some ideas for you. I've heard some of the anniversary type things they have done before and they are really wonderful.

When DH and I celebrated our 10th in Disney one of the first things we did was the Hoop Dee Doo on our day of arrival. I mentioned to my Dreams agent that it was our anniversary and when she called to make my PS she noted that on our ressie. When DH and I were checking in at Fort Wilderness for the show, the CM said, "Oh Watson....honeymooners I see!" I told him actually it was our 10 year wedding anniversary, and he responded, "well that accounts for the same thing as far as I'm concerned! We have you at table 13, front and centerstage!" When we walked in and sat down, I was just thrilled! You can make ressies for the Hoop 2 years out so for DH and I to be sat front and centerstage with ressies that I only made 2 months prior was amazing! We had our picture taken before the show and it's a great little token of remembering our 10th anniversary celebration in Disney on our first night there!
On our anniversary day, we spent that in EPCOT. I mean there's nothing better for me than to be in EPCOT with 11 different countries on my anniversary. DH and I had lunch at Teppanyaki and dinner at San Angel Inn. Dinner at San Angel was very romantic! We were fortunate enough to be seated by the water and the view in the background was amazing with the Aztec Temple and the volcano. You could also see the boat go by from the ride they have and that was very nice too.
Those are just two of the things that I really enjoyed on our anniversary, I do hope that I've helped.

Have a blessed trip!
