There would be 6 of us. I know WDW does it's own ceremonies, but they are pricey for a vow renewal. Are there outside companies?

Does wdw work to do something smaller for you than the pre-packaged programs on their website?

We won't be super fancy about this, but want something special and nice. Nice dress, shirt and tie, small bouquet, small cake.

I haven't done much research at all as this is a new thought. We are planning on going for the anniv regardless, but I just thought this would be a nice extra for us.

My wife and I celebrated our 10th anniversary with a vow renewal at Wilderness Lodge. It cost around $3,000 then. I do not know whether or not you think that is a lot. We had about 10 guests all together, with music and a cake. Disney treated us well.

I found a couple of websites that may help with a simple web search. The Disney Weddings website does not address vow renewals, although I'm pretty sure you will have to go through them.

Congratulations!

Congrats on your 10th wedding anniversary!

The best place to start researching is http://disneyweddings.disney.go.com/ and of course here on the DIS. That's where I got a lot of my information prior to my DH & I renewing our vows for our 20th.

We opted for the Escape package and we spent about $7000 or so (but that included an upgrade of $750 for the photos, our "re-wedding" outfits, "welcome bags" I made up for the guests).

We had ours at the Wedding Pavilion and we only had 4 guests. The Escape package is for up to 20 people which includes you & your DH. Our package included a 2-tier cake, cake topper, 2 bottles of champagne, a bouquet, a boutinner, 2 hours of photography by a Disney photographer, limo for 4 hours, a violinist & an organist at the Wedding Pavilion, and 2 annual passes to WDW. The violinist came with us to the Commander's Terrace for our cake celebration. And if I remember correctly the WP package started at around $5500.

DH & I wore matching Hawaiian outfits (him in a shirt and me in a long dress). And we encouraged our guests to wear Hawaiian shirts - we wanted everyone to be comfortable and not formal.

I would suggest contacting the Disney wedding folks and seeing what is available to you and if it is in your price range.

Also - you may want to check the Swan. It's not Disney per se but it is on property and from what I understand it is cheaper.

Good luck!

Have you seen their new Memories package? It's buried in the Escape section of their site for some reason, but it is for 6 people or less and costs $1,991.

We are renewing our vows for our 10th in December. We will be booking the Memories collection. There is a thread on this board just for Memories brides with all kinds of pics and info. I just don't know how to post the link. I found it by searching Memories chat. Here are our plans:

3pm ceremony at Grand Floridian with us, the kids and my sisters
Pictures following
Cake and champage following at our villa at OKW. I'm getting the cake at Publix. Check out their cakes at Publix.com. They are delicious and the price is right.
Dinner at 5:30 probably at the Garden Grove at the Swan because it's close and they have characters. I figure it will almost be like having the characters at the wedding. I'll wear my dress and the family will still be in wedding attire too.
I'm doing an UP theme. Kids will carry balloon, boutenneirs will be the grape soda pins. The girls and me are also wearing silver minnie mouse ears.

We are really excited. Good luck with your planning. Tell us all about it.

I don't see how you could keep it under $1500 with 6 people unless there is a package that I'm not familiar with. A swan/dolphin ceremony is just over $1500 for the ceremony location, chairs, a water station and wedding coordinator. An officiant is $150. You can bring your own decor if you want, or have it in the courtyard by the swan fountain and you probably won't need any decor. I think you should be able to do it with a few added extras for $2000 or a little less.

Hi Katrina and welcome to the W&H board!!!
I agree with Jillian that with a cake, bouquet and maybe some fizz to toast, you will probably not get away under $2000.00 on WDW property. The Swan is peobably going to be your cheapest option!!! I have my VR ther on Wednesday, so if you keep an eye on my PJ (link is in my siggie), you may get some idea of what it's like. Good luck whatever you decide, and remember to keep us posted about your plans!!

I'll have to look into the swan for sure. We really don't need decor, that's what disney/hotel grounds are for.

I like the idea of doing an outside cake, providing they can do a disney theme, otherwise I'll use disney for that.

I'm really looking low key on this, no chairs, we can provide our own music, so maybe a vr at disney just won't work, but I'll keep digging.

Our wedding was 150 guests, with decor, violin trio, soloist, etc, etc. LOVED IT, but for this I'd just want something small and simple.

Hmmm...lol.

I am looking into the same thing. Small vow renewal, probably August 2012 for our 10 year.

Sarah, maybe we can combine ours to save money, lol.

Keep me posted on your plans, findings, etc and I'll do the same.

I know that ceremonies are available in 3 different locations in DTD if any of those interest you? Fulton's Crab House, House of Blues and the Characters in Flight balloon. The last two are done via a company called sensational ceremonies http://www.sensational-ceremonies.com/intimate-packages/central-florida-intimates/ and packages are around $1300. I think you go through Fulton's directly for theirs. The hotels around DTD do ceremonies too..:confused3
