10 Things I Hate About You -- the show!

I heard a while back that they were going to make a TV show out of the movie 10 Things I Hate About You, which is one of my all time favorite chick flick type movies... well, just recently I caught the promo for it:

What do you guys think, are you going to tune in? I am, I'm hugely curious to see how it's going to be adapted for the small screen! I'm pretty excited for it.

saw a promo for it also, doesn't look very good. I think they told the whole story in the movie and turning it into a TV show is stupid. Somebody in TV land needs to come up wiht some new idea's instead of remaking old ones.

Really? I thought it was a cute promo. I don't know, I don't mind remakes, and anyway, shows adapted from movies and vice versa always tend to bring something new to the table. It'll end up being a different story, after all a series is a lot longer than the movie. They'll be able to go into the characters a lot more and draw out the tension between Kat and Patrick, and I think it'll be a fun watch.

I can't watch that here at work for some reason. I love the movie, but I just can't see it as a show.

Hah, I WISH I was a movie exec! Meeting actors and directors and writers... That would be a dream job. Alas, I am a lowly analyst at a marketing firm. I’ve said in previous posts that I work in marketing for lots of different entertainment clients, so I’m exposed to a lot of info daily about new shows that are coming on. I actually think this looks really good because I loved the movie and I know a lot of other people do, so that’s why I wanted to share it with you all! I know how barren summer TV can be.
