$10 Service Package Fee at Swan/Dolphin

They did away with the resort fee a couple years ago, now they are charging this service fee? When did that start and why am I clueless about it. I went to make ressies today and was "shocked" to hear they had brought a fee back.

"$10 Svc Pkg Please note that there is a mandatory USD 10.00 per day resort service package which includes up to 60 minutes free local telephone calls, toll free and credit card access calls, unlimited access to health club facilities, in-room high speed internet access, 2 bottles of water daily, and 20 minutes of domestic long distance daily."

I don't use ANY of these services. The only one I might have considered is the high speed internet access but I am not bringing my laptop this trip.

I agree. I reserved Monday night for a december stay and I read my confirmation email. $10 a night extra.

The only thing I will use is the 2 daily bottles of water. So it's $5 a bottle for us!!! Ouch!

That's kind of stinky that it's a mandatory charge...I wonder if there's anyway you could have it removed at the end of your stay if you didn't use any of the services.

I know it wasn't there in December. Spent 4 days at the Swan in December and didn't pay the fee. Just sat here and double checked my bill to make sure.

We fought with that on our last 2 trips. I don't think it's right to have an "extra" mandatory fee that is not included in your hotel rate. If it's not included in your rate then it should be optional whether or not you want to use the services provided.

Come on S/D stop messing with your customers heads again. There was so much annoyance with this in the first place and that's why they dropped it. This really is my one and only complaint about the S/D.

And this is on top of the per day parking fee they charge? I LOVE the Swan, but I think they have "fee'd" be out of staying there anymore.

I hear you. . .I am almost willing to pay premium to stay at BWI just to avoid the "extras". . .lol.
