10% off FD package with American Airlines Vacations

Hi all,

AA is offering 10% off all vacation packages including Disney FD. I've been trying to figure out what the difference is and here is what I found

1. Have to pay full up front
2. There is only one option for ticket (night of stay + 1 day, exp, park hopper)
3. There are $100 pp cancellation fee up to 5 days prior to check in
4. Not sure about any of the small freebies. Only mentioned magic express.

My main concern is #2 since we will be going for 9 nights. I don't plan to go to the parks every day.

I can see your concern about tickets, but the difference in price between 5 day hopper and a 10 day hopper is only $15 and the 10% discount is $27 so the tickets are still cheaper about $10 but you have more days. So it sounds like a good deal to me unless you have an AP that you want to use and you were planning on just getting the 1 day base ticket.

That is true. I was thinking that would not be to pass I want to get if I have a choice. I probably go with 5 day + water park instead. We used the hopper passes for the past few times. I think we tend to spend too much time hopping especially with dining plan. One day, we started at the Hollywood studio, got fast pass for the toy story ride, went to Epcot for lunch since we had reservation, went back to take the ride and then back to Epcot for dinner. Even the kids asked if we could just do one park per day this time.

LOL That's my style...commando style...Sounds perfectly normal to me! I can't understand what the problem is.....LOL I guess you know when you've gone a little too far when the kiddies are asking for just one park per day. I've been there and done that w/ my kids too!

A few years ago (when FD was in its infancy), my travel agent matched the price quote I received from my corporate AA vacation site (discount was a little more then base). Something to consider.
