We are planning to go in sept (VERY hopefully ) during free dining. We have decided on 10 nights, arriving late on the 12th, just getting there in time to sleep, and leaving the morning of the 22nd. So, this will give us 9 full days at Disney. The longest we have stayed before was 8 nights. I have to full rest days worked into our scedule. Does anyone feel like 10 is too much? Anyone else do trips this long? I guess you could say a week and half and it sounds like less!!

We prefer the 10 days. Our last 3 trips have been that long and it's the perfect trip length for us!

I think that sounds like a great trip. Especially with the very warm weather, it will allow you to be a bit more liesurely.

Been doing 10 trips twice a year for the last 6 years. No 10 days is wonderful ! No rushing, plenty of time for everything.

NO Way!!!1 You are so lucky!

One of the best trips we had was for 2 weeks. What is nice about it is we got to do some of the parks in two days so we really got to see everything. Also we took some days to really just enjoy our resort and hang by the pool. I think you are going to have a blast.:goodvibes

we go earliest flight, first thing in the AM and hit the parks, we do 10 full days and 9 nights, and these are full days... no rest, rest when you are dead.

Thnks guys! I felt it would make the trip more enjoyable not to rush through everything. Plus, I am pretty sure this is the last big Disney family trip DH will agree to , so I want to squeeze it for all it's worth!;)

I don't think any vacation is ever too long! If you don't want to be in the parks every day, you can always just relax by the pool a few days. :)

For my family, 10 days is the perfect amount of time.

I wish I could stay that long. We do 8 days. Which works out to 6 full days for us in the parks. The only thing about that it is we dont have any rest days in the middle of the week, so we are going strong for 6 days. I am jelous of that schedule.

We go for two weeks in the summer! We take the earliest flight in, and the latest flight out. We usually do two "resort - rest days" and one day at a waterpark. I love the longer stays because we like to take a swim/nap break in the afternoon and go back at night. This way we don't feel too rushed, and we have plenty of time.

My situation may be different and I don't know the ages of your kiddos but we thought 10 nights was too long last summer. My kiddos were just turned 2 and 4. Both had been to DL and the oldest had been to WDW before. After 7 nights we were all ready to come home. We did 2 resort days as well as afternoon nap and swim daily but they were still worn out. I was also tired of being in the same room as them. We did use the kids club for my oldest and I had several spa treatments which helped some. This year we are staying a week. We didn't see everything in 10 days so I am over that notion. We will just take it slow and do what we want when we want. I think when they are older we might stay longer but also go to Universal. I can't wait until their old enough for that!

Our trips are at least 10 days and it's long enough to enjoy Disney. :thumbsup2 I did a week but that was too short for me and DD. In December we're staying for 12 days and I can't wait!

I don't think any length of time is ever enough in WDW. I have stayed for 3 weeks and still felt like I was missing out when I left. I say you're very lucky and enjoy it!

12 days would be my dream acation. DH would go nuts after 12 days of spending money:rotfl: 10 days sounds perfect. 8 days is never enough for us. we always are not ready to go home, that includes budget conscious Dh, 2 teens and 2 toddlers and me.

Our normal trip is 6 days/7 nights or 7 days/8 nights but next year we are going for the 9 day/10 night trip and I cannot wait. It is just DH and I so we are going to hit the parks everyday. I cannot wait!

I went last year during Free dining for 10 nights, 11 days, felt a little long, but we also canceled our car rental and our trip to Universal. Even then, we had our best vacation (except for a slight fight with the DW about her not wanting to ride any of the more thrilling ridees, but it ended with her going on Rock N Roller coaster and loving it)... I am trying to get a shorter trip this Aug/sept but that is only because of budget contstraints
