Hi! I’m torn between two options for our 10-night trip in January/February. I already have a 10-night reservation at Pop, but I’m starting to second guess it. We are two adults in our 30s (no kids) and I’m worried that 10 nights at a value will start to feel too chaotic. I booked it for the low price and skyliner access. It would be about $1500 for the 10 nights.
For only slightly more money ($1800-ish) we could do 4 nights at a standard view room at Animal Kingdom Lodge and stay free at a Homewood Suites using Hilton Honors points for the other 6 nights. I think we’d stay the first 6 nights at the Hilton and then move to AKL for the end of the trip. Obviously we’d give up the 60-day FP for most of our trip but I think I’m okay with that. We will probably rent a car either way.
I have always dreamed of staying at AKL, but we could not afford to do our whole trip there. Pop doesn’t excite me much but I would appreciate not having to move, and it would be nice to be on property for the whole trip. What would you do? Also, will I lose my ADRs that I already made at the 180-day window if I cancel my Pop reservation?
