Hey! can I come too! but, I will rent an ECV for Wendy and I to share! :lmao: you think we can park it at the half way mark!

I really need to find a local walking track and get my butt off this couch...
I keep going back and forth on the weight can't get past the first 5#'s...

Connie, we will get there. I am with you... I need some motivation... maybe I will go visit my Dr again ... I need a good scare.
That would be AWESOME if you did the 5 K too!!!!!!!! It will be a nice reward for getting healthy and get you to Disney next year!

Happy Mothers Day!!

:thumbsup2We have a year to train!!! Doesn't this look cool?? We could have a team with all the people from your TR! (Wendy, Connie,...who am I missing?)

So-when you say the 4th floor at the CR-what is that? Is there a lounge or deck or something?

Have a fun weekend with family, happy birthday to Wayne, and HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO YOU, SKINNY MINNIE!

Happy Mothers Day Jill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE the idea. I am talking to Wayne and I REALLY want to do it... Running a 5K is something I really want to be able to say "I did that!"

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! NICKIE
HOPE YOUR DAY IS A WONDERFUL AND RELAXING ONE!:flower3:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! WAYNE

I am spoiled, everyday is like Mother's Day!!:lovestruc

I'm not really sure how to train for a marathon, but I'm pretty sure sitting on the couch playing on the DIS is not the way!! :lmao:
:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

I'd be interested in making the run also. :thumbsup2

I hear that a great way to train for the 5k is the Couch to 5k program. I started it a while ago and I think it is doable. Another DISer Megan (braveteacher) finished the program and just finished her first offical 5k last weekend. You should check the program out. It gradually trains you to complete the 5k.

I would be in for the run as well. If I can walk 60 miles in 3 days I figure I can do anything :)
I have also fallen off the wagon but am getting back on! We can do it!!

I wonder what the obstacles are in the race? Are we going to have to be boosting each other over walls and things like that?? If so-we better get working on our upper body strength too...:rotfl:

Hope you had a great Mom's Day!!

/
Happy Mother's Day!!

If it is allowed, I would totally jump in on the chance to join the EE 5k run/scavenger hunt! :upsidedow

Ok - I have been thinking that I might not be able to get to Disney 4 months after our trip! (Especially with me not working!) BUT I was looking around and I saw this race. Maybe we could all plan this for next October. I wonder if they will even have it again in 2011? I think Free Dining is usually at this time too.... and I know I can talk Wayne into a second trip in October because he LOVES Halloween. Let me know... I think it would be fun for the kids too!!

Happy Mother's Day Nickie! Hope it's been a wonderful day with your boys!
Thanks Leanne. I cant believe your trip is SO SOON!!! I can't wait to hear all about it. I will be checking Facebook for your updates too!

I'd be interested in making the run also. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the info!! I started the training and am on day 2 of week 1! So far so good. I was thinking that I might be more interested in a race next October. I know it is a long way off, but I am heading there in February and cant swing another trip in June. I have always wanted to go in October too!

I would be in for the run as well. If I can walk 60 miles in 3 days I figure I can do anything :)
I have also fallen off the wagon but am getting back on! We can do it!!

Yes we can do it!!!! When you get down, just get right back up again. 60 miles in 3 days! WOW you go girl!!!!!

I wonder what the obstacles are in the race? Are we going to have to be boosting each other over walls and things like that?? If so-we better get working on our upper body strength too...:rotfl:

What about October!!!??? Trick or treating on Main street will be so fun!

Happy Mother's Day!!

If it is allowed, I would totally jump in on the chance to join the EE 5k run/scavenger hunt! :upsidedow

HI Stephanie!! Thanks :-) Like I said, sadly I cant book a trip in disney for June... I am hoping you all will join for an October race!

Wendy- That is your birthday weekend right!!?? You will HAVE to go!!

I forgot to mention I am back down 3 pounds this week! :thumbsup2 I also started the Couch to 5 K program... I think I should be able to run a 5 K in 17 months... especially because this program says i should be able to in 9 weeks. :rotfl2:

We're planning the 10/8-10/15, 2011 already because my birthday is the 9th, but I would absolutely be willing to go a week earlier for free dining and the 5K, so YES, I will be there! Let's do it!!:cheer2::cheer2:

I think we are going to stay at the Beach Club for this trip because we love that resort and it is close to Epcot for the Food & Wine festival! YUM!!

Congrats on the weight loss and starting the C25K program. Like I said on FB, I'm starting next week. I need to go this weekend and find some new running shoes! I'm excited to start, plus I'll really get to use the jogging part of my jogging stroller!!!:thumbsup2

:cheer2: I am so excited! I talked to Wayne and he said YES! So ok, I am planning to be there for the first week in October (hopefully free dining!) and the 5K! How Fun! We could plan on having the kids trick or treat on Main st together!!!!!! I have ALWAYS wanted to stay at the Beach Club.... I wonder if we could look into renting points for that trip!? My mom already said she is coming and is starting to save and that means Wayne's mom will probably come too. I will have to think about renting a 2 bedroom villa or maybe we will stick with POFQ and get two rooms.

I am so excited you are starting the C25K! I think I am going to get some new sneakers too... the ones I have already have given me blisters. Good luck!!

Yay!! I can't wait to start planning together!!! :cheer2: We'll have to plan a dinner together or a Grand Gathering event and the kids will DEFINITELY be trick or treating on Main Street!!

If you are interested, I could give you the email for the woman we rented points from. We still keep in touch and she always has points to rent. We were going to book with her last year, but the b4g3 was a better deal and we also looked into renting VWL from her this Dec, but because she isn't an owner there she couldn't book until 7 months out and most of the nights were already booked, but at the BC & AKL, she can book 11 months out. They own at BC & AKV. Anyway, let me know if you want her info!

I'm soooooo EXCITED!!!!!!! :hyper::hyper2::jumping1::tongue:

Congrats on the weight loss, Nickie! That's awesome!!! :woohoo: I've fallen off the wagon a bit these past two weeks with my new job because I've had no energy to go to the gym when I get home. :sad2: But I'm hoping to get back to my normal exercise next week. You're a great motivation! :goodvibes

Congrats! on the weight loss! Nickie

and way to go to both you and Wendy on getting started on the C2-5K thing...

I had read a few nights back about the marathon in October and thought it sounded so much more appealing...it is cooler in Oct than in June and more important the humidity is not as bad; you notherners would not have known what hit you when you would have tried to run in the heat and humidity (you really can not breathe in it when you are conditioned for it much less when your not):rotfl: the best way I could describe it is try running in your bathroom after the shower has it all nice and steamy in there

That will be great if you guys are able to get a villa for the next trip with both the grandparents joining you...how exciting for the boys! I know it made Ashton happy to have his grandparents along (and when our older kids were younger they loved having their Nana and Pops along)... and two trips in one year:mickeyjum:

:wave2: Connie

Hey Nickie!

How great that you and Wendy are starting the C25K program!! :cool1: Congrats on the weight loss too Nickie! I have no idea where I am at as I haven't weighed in two weeks. I guess I should get off this silly computer and do that. :lmao:

If you wouldn't mind, I could do the October 5k. The race is the weekend that fall break starts for us here in KY so We could get there Friday and stay through the following weekend if we wanted and the girls wouldn't be missing any school. I don't think that week is typically offered free dining but it wouldn't keep us from going.

Can't wait to hear how the running is going! Keep it up Nickie!:cheer2:

Wendy!!!! I am so excited:cheer2: I would love her contact info. Thanks so much. I was a little nervous about renting points but :cheer2:knowing you did and it was all good helps a lot! Can you still add dining plan on when you rent points? or get the free dining if it is offered? What about tickets... can the person put it all together like a package or do you buy them seperate? Sorry for all the questions!!

I wonder when we go in Dec/January if we can book a bounceback for october? That would be great!!

We will HAVE to plan a couple things together for sure!!! Dinner in Epcot followed by some drinks around the world and Illuminations maybe!!?? And the kids will have to have some fun on Main Street trick or treating. Too bad it isnt this October.... seems how I just spent lot's of money at the Disney store on their costumes... Buzz and Woody!

We will have to come up with a cute tshirt design for the 5K and Halloween!!!

:cheer2::banana:

You can do it.... just start again.... right away! The first few days are the worst but then you get back into it... I just started today writing down exactly how much calories I am eating... I am curious because I think I am eating healthy and I eat the same thing all the time... it will be interesting to see actually just how many calories I am consuming!!! Congrats on the new job!!! How is it going?

Congrats! on the weight loss! Nickie

Thanks Connie! The more and more I think about the grandmothers joining the more and more stressed I feel about it. :rotfl2: I love them. Dont get me wrong! I love them SOO much actually and am so lucky to have them. BUT when the kids are around my Mother in law I cant stand the way they act. They act very bratty and spoiled.... they dont listen to me. She is telling them what to do, I tell them what to do and they get confused and do not know who to listen to. I get upset, wayne gets annoyed... So I just don't know!! Friends of ours who we travel with often (have never done Disney!) are thinking of joining us too. They are thinking of doing the races with us.

Oh so Wayne is going to do the 1/2 Marathon in October. :thumbsup2 I want to do the 5K which is in the morning so Wayne can stay with the kids and then later that day is the 1/2 marathon and me and the kids can cheer him on!! Pretty cool huh!?

So let's see... we went in May 09 and then Feb 2010 (9 months later) and now we are planning Jan/Feb 2011 (1 yr later) and then October 2011 (9 months later) and then the next trip will be a biggie for our anniversary and myles birthday Jan/Feb 2012 (1 year later) - See the pattern!!??

So are you getting adjusted to being home!!?? I need to go get caught up on your trip report now!!!!!!

Hey Nickie!

We can all get together and have the kids trick or treat together on Main St and maybe have a dinner together or something!!! So exciting!! I think you are right about free dining... it usually ends by October 2nd. But that is ok, we would still go too! I have never been to the wine and food thing at Epcot and I have never been to the Halloween Party and ALWAYS wanted to go... and add in the 5K race and meeting up with DIS Friends and it sounds like it will be a great trip!!!! Looking at the Calendar it looks like we would go that friday and the race is most likely saturday! I was wondering how Wayne will feel being in Disney that week after running a 1/2 marathon!??

I was just looking at our ages on my signature.... :rotfl2: I guess I need to update that... Myles is 7 now! I think I would like to leave mine as is though:goodvibes
