The last time we were in WDW (Feb. 2014), I wanted to use my Disney Visa to get the 10% discount at the qualifying restaurants. Our first restaurant was Capt. Grille and when I gave the waitress my Disney Visa to pay, I asked for the discount. She told me they didn't do the discount there, but it would show up on my cc statement. I just assumed that was the case for all the restaurants that participated in the discount, so, while I continued to pay at qualifying restaurants with my Disney Visa, the discounts never showed up on my cc statement.

So, I'm assuming what the waitress told me was wrong? Or do I need to call Chase and have the discount applied? We are heading back down to WDW soon and would really like to get the discount at participating restaurants. Thanks!

1) Our VISA discounts were always at the table.
2) We would combine CM discount AND the visa discount.
3) Could get as much as 60% off the food.

I tried to use my Disney Rewards Redemption Card to get the 10% discount at the Captain's Grille when we there last August. The waitress told me that I had to use the actual Visa card, not the redemption card. I disagreed, she went and asked her manager, he also said no. I didn't want to waste any more time fighting over $6 so I let it go. They were wrong. I think this discount is not well understood. Next time I go I am bringing a print out of the vacation perks page from the Chase Disney Visa site. It does say that even if you have your card linked to your Magic Band, you still need the actual card - but that can be the Visa card or the reward redemption card.

That is good to know as you are correct in that you can get the discount with the redemption card. I had no issues at Sanaa.

So using the Disney card to pay at restaurants gets you 10% off? I don't remember seeing that anywhere. Do you have a link to the page on Case's site cause I have looked all over to see the benefits. We've been saving points forever for this trip and I want o be sure I'm using all the benefits there are. I know about the special meet and great and the points card but hadn't heard about the 10%off

I didn't know this either so I looked up on the Disney Visa sight and found the page. https://disneyrewards.com/vacation-perks/
I hope the link works for you. I was excited to see some of the restaurants listed as we'll be visiting them on our upcoming trip.
