So we finished our second Disney cruise early October coming from Vancouver, Canada and I was wondering if anybody else who has finished their second Disney cruise has also received a 10% discount coupon in the mail. When we finished our first Disney cruise in May of 2014, we received a welcome packet in the mail to the Castaway club or something like that it there was a 10% discount coupon attached to use if we booked within 30 days or something like that.

We might actually be interested in booking another Disney cruise for Sept 2016 but was wondering if they only send that coupon to those that just finished their very first cruise to entice them to book another one? Should we hold our breaths or will they not be sending us another 10% discount coupon?

If we won't be getting any coupon, does anybody have any suggestions of how to book a discounted cruise as I know that Disney doesn't really discount their rates? Maybe there's a way to get cash back or on-boards credits? Any tips will be much appreciated. Thanks.

It's usually for people who just got done one cruise. Where they will send them something in the mail if they didn't book on board. 2 or more cruises you are usually out of luck

You can book another cruise while cruising to get a discount/reduced deposit/on-board credits. There are blackout dates that affect the benefits. You can visit the future cruise desk on the ship to do this. Benefit varies based on the length of the future cruise that you book. You must cruise within 2 years. You can also book a placeholder if you don't have a specific cruise in mind for a flat $200 deposit.

Receiving a 10% coupon after a first cruise is hit-or-miss, some receive it some don't. I won't say it's impossible, but I haven't read of anyone receiving such an offer after a 2nd (or later) cruise. So I think you are out of luck on that. For future reference, I strongly suggest you book a future cruise while onboard, or at least do a placeholder. It can be canceled for full refund if you decide not to cruise again within 2 years.

As to how to get something now for a future cruise... many TA's offer onboard credit if you book directly through the TA (less or no OBC for transferred ressies). Opening day fares are considered to be the lowest rates you can guarantee. If you have flexibility to travel relatively last-minute, you can watch for *GT offers which are discounted off the current prices but may or may not be lower than opening day fares. If you qualify, there are occasional cruises with a Florida resident or military discount offer.

Enjoy your cruise!

Never gotten one. I didn't book a cruise on my last one and didn't know about the place holder option, so I wrote them a few days after I got home and asked if I could still do it and they told me, sorry that offer ended, no exceptions. I tried, but expected that answer.
