Cast:
Me - age 32; loves all things Disney, especially planning the trips. Hasn't been very gung-ho about this trip, though. Been pre-occupied, but more on that to come.
DH - age 37; loves Disney as much as I do, but only gets excited about a week before we go.
DS4 1/2; this will be his 8th trip (yes, his 8th) and he only rides 2 things. But he has promised to go on 2 new rides - tea cups and Aladdin's Magic Carpets.
DD 2 1/2; this is her 6th trip. She is a little daredevil. She loves Goofy's Barnstormer.
My mom and dad - Disney enjoy-ers; My mom worries about every little thing for my dad and my dad obsesses about the grandkids...sometimes over the top!
My grandmother - she will be turning 85 in August. Enjoys seeing the great grandkids having the time of their lives.
My aunt - easy going and laid back. The best one to travel with. Never complains and isn't afraid of speaking her mind, even if it is not what has been "planned."
So we are leaving in just under 6 weeks. This trip is really creeping up quickly. We are staying at the Polynesian in a garden view room. We had started in a GV concierge room, but the cost was just too steep, even with a AAA discount, so we downgraded. But it's ok - we're still on the monorail and at a deluxe resort.
My DD will be turning 3 while on the trip and we are planning to have lunch at Cindy's on her actual birthday. We are also taking her to Bibbidi Boppity Boutique. She'll love that.
Some new things we are trying on this trip include:
1. The Family Magic Tour
2. Hoop De Doo Revue with the little ones
3. A Fishing Excursion for the boys on Bay Lake
DH and I are hoping to escape to the movies on July 13th to see Harry Potter. We usually get one night out with the grandparents babysitting. In 2005 we went to Victoria and Albert's. Now all we want is a movie. We'll see...
So, as the vacation edges its way closer, I will add to this pre-trip report, perhaps even posting pictures of the kids as we pack and get "Disney-fied."
Thanks for reading. I hope to update this frequently!
