10 days of dining for a party of 10! (8/15-8/24) **Upd. 5/27 Via Napoli

Sorry for the delay in continuing. "Life" was crazy!

This might be a lengthy post! We were so excited to experience Be Our Guest for both lunch and dinner. We had planned to get in line around 10:20-10:30 a.m. for lunch because that's where it fit with our touring plan. However, when my in laws checked in, they were offered to FastPass the lunch. Sooooo, they had to sign in online at a website, and then we had to all order what we wanted. When they signed it, the people in their room were able to make their selections. It was very user friendly. When my sister in law went to the website and tried to sign in, it wouldn't allow her to. So now half of our group was able to FastPass. Blah. I figured it was probably because we had a room only reservation and they had free dining. I don't think it was allowing you to do this if your reservation was a free dining reservation. After a few visits to our front desk, they were able to add what they wanted. Fast forward to the next day when we are going there to eat...we show up, are told to go in, and are sent to the kiosks immediately. Now for some reason he pulls up the entire order for all 10 of us and things get slightly screwed up. Because he has to pull off the free dining room meals and we have to pay for ours. It was pure chaos. The man cashier had absolutely no patience with us. He took off the wrong meals, etc. etc. We go to find seats which there were many, and wait for them to bring us our food. It didn't take very long at all. But somehow during the chaos, two cupcakes were taken off of our order...GASP!!! That was what I was most looking forward to!

Braised Pork (Coq Au Vin style) - eight-hour slow-cooked pork with mushrooms, onions, carrots and bacon served with mashed potatoes and green beens jardiniere $11.99

This was DELICIOUS! And very good value for a counter service in my opinion. The pork was very moist and tasty.


Carved Turkey Sandwich - served on a warm baguette with Dijon mayonnaise and Pomme Frites $11.19
I honestly don't remember my MIL review of this! But I can say it was huge!


Croque Monsieur - Grilled sandwich of carved ham, Gruyere cheese, and bechamel with Pommes Frites. $11.19
This was my husband's. He doesn't get excited about food! But I think he like this!


Tuna Nicoise Salad - warm seared tuna steak with chilled green beans, potatoes, olives, roasted bell peppers, tomatoes, and hard boiled eggs $13.49

SIL liked this, it was nice and light. BIL did not like this...it was nice and light. LOL He was still "starving" afterwards.


Chocolate Cream Puff - filled with chocolate mousse topped with whipped cream $2.99


Strawberry Cream Cheese Cupcake - vanilla sponge cake, strawberry mousse filling, and cream cheese icing $2.99
This may have been the most anticipated dessert for me! I LOVE cupcakes. And this one was very good.

I personally do not like cream puffs. But my SIL and BIL ordered one. They loved it!

Overall, I really liked the food here and would definitely come back. The theming of the restaurant is awesome. It's spacious and fun.

We noticed for those that did no FP the lunch, they were handing out umbrellas because of the heat and had a water station outside as well. The line seemed to move pretty quickly.

So sorry for the delay!
Up next is Ohana for dinner. This is probably in my top 3 restaurants. I LOVE the sticky wings and the pot stickers!

We had 3 younger kids with us. For sure I knew one of mine would not eat anything being served here, so they brought us this HUGE platter of french fries and chicken nuggets:


Salad:

This salad looks pretty tasteless, but I really love the dressing on it! It's very light, but full of flavor!

Wings and potstickers:

MY FAVORITE! I could eat just this and be happy! Wings are so flavorful.

Noodles and veggies:

I also love these noodles! The veggies are different than they used to be. It used to just be basically broccoli. Now it's more of a mixed bag. Still good though.

Some of the meats:

Meat is just okay for me. I love to eat more of the other stuff though! The chicken was good though I remember!

For some reason I didn't get a pic of the dessert, but it is GOOD!

Overall, I would definitely return here. One of my favorite meals!

We stopped for a quick lunch at Boulangerie Patisserie in France. I was really looking forward to this after seeing so many pics!

Croissant Jambon Fromage - ham, cheese and bechamel in a croissant $4.75
Duo Au Chocolate - white and dark chocolate mousse cake $5.75
And a good old chocolate chip cookie that my girls picked. Hahaha



I LOVED this and actually came back again later in the week to get one for a snack. There's something about a warm buttery crossaint...
For the dessert I asked for opinions because I just couldn't make up my mind. I told them I loved chocolate and was contemplating the mousse and they told me for sure to try the Duo! So I did and it was good...and rich. And I ate the whole thing...

I would definitely be back for a light snack or light lunch.

We were really excited for Rose and Crown because we had never eaten there before. We also timed our reservation to be here during Illuminations.

Cottage Pie - Ground beef, onions, carrots and mushrooms, creamy mashed potatoes and cheddar $17.99

Very tasty!

(Kid's) Elbow Pasta - with ground turkey marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese $8.59


(Kid's) Fish and Chips - $8.59

Everyone who ordered these LOVED them.

Grilled New York Strip Steak - with seasonable vegetables, fried onion rings, green beans, mushrooms and red wine sauce $26.99

This was mine. Very good!

Fish and Chips - Beer-battered and served with housemade tartar sauce $18.99


When it was time for Illuminations we were just finishing our meals. So the waitress offered to wait for our dessert until we came back. They led us outside to this preferred viewing area which was really cool!



When we came back in, my mother in law surprised us all by ordering a cake for my niece. She just turned 13 right after our trip. The cake was REALLY good!



Overall we had a great dining experience here and would be back!

We always thought the same - why would we fly from London and go to R&C? - but we had lunch there on our last visit and it was one of the best meals of the trip

I had eaten here once before and really enjoyed both the atmosphere and the food.

My niece ordered the

Keen Eye for the Shepherds Pie - We give the traditional shepherd's pie a little makeover with our contemporary twist to this favorite dish $18.00
She didn't love this. It was not what she was expecting though. And she's only 13. I didn't get to taste it but I thought it looked good!

I ordered the

Pork Supreme - Grilled lollipop pork chop with colcannon potatoes with a port cider jus and an apple chutney $26.00
This was DELICIOUS! And I ate every single bite of it. I love pork when it is cooked correctly. I have a tendency of cooking it to death and then it's too tough. This was perfect!

Hubby ordered the

It's Not Bleedin' Chowder! - Freshest cuts of seafood and potatoes in a white wine infused cream broth. $26.00
He liked this alot and ate all of it.

Sister in law ordered the

Raglan Risotto - Risotto with shiitake mushrooms, garden peas, shaved parmesan, and rocket lettuce. (Add chicken or shrimp for $5.) $17.00 (with chicken)
She enjoyed this very much!

My brother in law ordered the special fish of the day and really liked it. I don't have a pic for some reason.

We were all so full, but since we were on the dining plan, we just HAD to get dessert! I had a really hard time narrowing it down...

I made hubby get this:


Dunbrody Kiss - Chef Dundon's gift to America. Chocolate. Add chocolate. Then add some more. With us? $8.50

Brother in law ordered this:

Ger's Bread & Butter Pudding - Like no other pudding you have ever tried. Believe us $8.50
He liked this but likes Ohana's dessert better.

Fluffy Lemon Clouds - Intense lemon curd tart topped with fluffy meringue $8.50
If you like lemon meringue, you will love this! SO GOOD!

Overall, we really loved it here and will definitely be back!

Great photos and review of Raglan Road.....

DH and me were there a few years ago and loved it. We will be staying at OKW and can not wait to go to Raglan Road once again this summer.

I think I had the bread pudding last time I was there.
