We arrived in Disney on Monday, with two-year-old twins and a 4 year old in tow. After getting settled in our resort, we headed over the The Contemporary to visit the arcade that 4 year-old Jack remembered from the trip last year when they stayed at Bay Lake, and to eat at Chef Mickey's for dinner.

Settled into our seats, Pluto arrived about 10 minutes later.

Jessica sat, for the remainder of our time there, with her hands covering her food because Pluto was going to steal her food. Everytime they saw a character their screams of terror could be heard throughout the dining room.

Except for a Ohana's breakfast that Nana (me) refused to give up, the rest of our character ADR's were cancelled as quickly as I could pull them up on my phone. Now, left virtually without ADR's, we were left to improvise.

For the rest of the trip, we ate at:

Mara - Animal Kingdom Lodge - counter service - lunch
Portobello's - Downtown Disney - dinner
Ohanas - Polynesian Resort - breakfast (we had to ask the character's to not visit)
50's Prime Time Cafe - Hollywood Studios - table service - Dinner
Beaches & Cream - Yachtsman - table service - lunch
Boardwalk Pizza - counter service - Dinner (ate in room)
Electric Umbrella - Epcot - counter service - lunch
La Hacienda de San Angel - Epcot - table service - dinner
Roarin' Fork - Wilderness Lodge - counter service - lunch
Flyin' Fish - Boardwalk - table service - dinner
The Plaza - Magic Kingdom - table service - lunch
Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party - Magic Kingdom - table service
Boardwalk Resort - Room Service - Breakfast
Captains Grille - Yachtsman - table service - breakfast
Big River Grille - Boardwalk - table service - dinner
ESPN Club - Boardwalk - table service - lunch

Favorite this trip - Flyin' Fish. Wonderful food, wonderful service. Definitely one of my top fav's now.

Top picks:
1. Flyin' Fish - dinner
2. Captain's Grille - breakfast
3. Ohanas (must do for us)
4. 50's Prime Time (always a fav)
5. Beaches & Cream (I love their burgers and fries)

Worst experience of the trip: Big River Grille.

Best New Experience - Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party - pricey but fun for the kids to watch the fireworks without getting stepped on in a crowd or being stuck in the stroller.

Snacks consumed and often shared:
Popcorn, Mickey Bar, popsicles, hot dog, dole whips, funnel cake, muffins and croissants, fudge, yogurt, grapes, frozen cokes.

Both the Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom have pretty nice playground areas for little ones - which was the reason we visited and had lunch at those two places.

Final note: We had two offsite meals - a carryout fro Olive Garden that we consumed in the room and a late night McDonald's run after the Magic Kingdom - a request from two year old Joe who wanted nuggets and fries, but obviously no Mickey Mouse.

I'm in! Excited for your review as we're bringing young kids too. I'm sorry about the character dinners, poor thing.

your photos are so cute..

When our granddaughter was with us one trip (with her outgoing brother) and her mama...she actually hid under the table because Jafar was coming down the aisle..she took her waffle with her...you brought back a memory for me..

what we did with her was place her in an area that the characters couldnt get to her.. this worked for us

thanks for your experience.

waiting for the rest..

Thanks again
