Hiya,

A big  from snowy Yorkshire to all the UK DISers!!

Has anyone here had a 10 day world ticket before? Is it as good as it sounds? (i.e. almost too good LOL!) Myself and my DBF are planning a two week trip to CSR in November and plan to buy it very soon so we have it sorted well in advance. I guess my main question is: where are the participating restaurants for breakfast and what do you get?

Anything else you can tell me would be great :)

Cya,
Gaspode

Hi Gaspode :) :) :) !

Just popping your question onto UK Trip Planning :)

Hi Gaspode
Hope its not too snowy. We are in Thornhill, Dewsbury just a nice covering.
10 day ticket is good value but there are fors and against.
If you are only there for 14 days will you want to spend 10 days around Disney? is it your 1st trip? there is a lot more to Orlando than Disney. Universal, Islands, Busch, Kennedy S C, Gatorland, Shopping etc. Could go on and on.
I have not used a 10 day world ticket but our friends have. You get what it says no worries. Breakfast can be taken in just about in any Disney restaurant (you get a list with your tickets), they rang a few weeks before departure to book in MGM Hollywood and Vine (don't think they do breakfast here now) they said it was outstanding.
What price have you been offered (don't pay more than £189 Ad £149 Ch for use upto 30th Nov)
Downside is any unused days you loose.
We prefer a 7 day Hopper, You get 7 Park days plus 4 water parks days and a Disney Quest day (Total 12 day pass) costs an extra £16 BUT NEVER EXPIRES. We used 6 days last Oct and will use other 6 days this Oct. Downside you don't get the breakfast but you can buy seperate.
Also look out for offers on Universal passes. When we visited last July we bought annual passes buy 1 year get 1 free total 2 years for £100 each free parking and discounts on everything you buy.
Luckily we visit 5 or 6 weeks a year so we don't have to cram it all in. Difficult with only 2 weeks.
Hope this helps and please ask anything you want to know.

We bought a 30 day Fun in the Sun pass for less than the 10 day ticket. Included one breakfast, 30 days unlimited disney plus 6 other attractions inc. everglades and kennedy.

For two adults and two children this cost us $1090 or £620 (at tht time).

I'm not sure if the passes with expiry dates after 31/5/04 are available yet, though.

Hi keswick1uk

Where did you get these tickets from? I thought they were for Germany, The Netherlands and Australia. Did you get them with no problems? I know there are sites selling to US but not heard of one to UK.
Thanks

Hiya,

Thanks WDWfan, UK for moving my thread to the relevant board! I'm not used to the UK bit of the DIS yet :)

Thanks Wayneg and Keswick1uk for your advice.

A little background: I've been to Orlando 7 times and in fact did the International Program for 6mths back in 2000. My DBF has only been twice, both times staying in a villa with me and all my family for three weeks. We want to do things very differently this time as it will be our first trip to WDW just us two. Therefore we are staying onsite (never done this). Since we have been to Universal before and don't drive we are not too worried if we don't get there this time although we love Islands so much we would like to try and get a minibus or something up there for one day at least. Therefore we'll be using all the rest of our time up in WDW, DQ and the resort. Problem is I read somewhere recently that an entry into Pleasure Island uses a day out of the 10, is that correct? So if we go to Epcot and then to PI for the evening we use two days say?

Thanks again for any help! We thought the 10 day would be better than the hoppers due to unlimited water parks but perhaps not... hmm...

Cheers!
Gaspode

PS. Snow seems to have disappeared, now it is just threatening!

The 30 day Fun in the Sun pass also looks a good deal at about £170 with free delivery.
I believe once you activate the pass in a theme park it is then good for the rest of the day even in PI. but you might want to verify with ticket seller.
The choice is yours.
Snowing here again, wish it was October 9th 5pm just leaving the dock at at Port Canaveral on our "Magic"al cruise.

Hiya

We used the 10 day pass before and you can definitely go to a park, and PI the same day and only use up one day's admission.

We have bought the 10 day ticket two years running now. I love it. Yes, you can do a water park in the morning, MK in the afternoon and PI at night if you so wish.

We have always bought ours via virginholidays.com (just click on the link for attraction tickets). We used their "price promise" last year having seen the tickets for £189 adult and £149 child on themeparkworld.com. Tickets arrived well in time before our holiday so I didn't even have time to panic!

I would recommend them to anyone. It gave us the freedom to do short(er) days in the parks and didn't feel we had to do everything in a day.

Hi all...

So, re. Character Breakfasts...

Where is the definitive list of where they all are, and can the 10 day WP be used at all of them?

Can we 'phone one up and make a reservation even though the holiday tickets are not here yet...do they need a number or something?

We are staying in the Sheraton Safari hotel.

Counting the days...:hyper:

Very, very limited as to where you can use the tickets for the character breakfast. On the back of your tickets (when they arrive) you will see a list of all the different places where you can use them. However, only one or two are actually character breakfasts. Unfortunately, I can't remember what they are now(!) and I can't lay my hands on my tickets from last year. I do know that we went to Hollywood & Vine at MGM in 2002 but by last year, they were not doing the character breakfast anymore.

Perhaps someone who has purchased the ticket this year is able to help more on this point.

Ticketmania and Mary have requested that links to these tickets not be posted on disscusion boards.

Apologies.

I picked the link up from another post, so I wasn't aware of that.

After reading a couple of the notes in this thread regarding the character breakfasts, I contacted Keith Prowse where I bought our Disney 10-day world tickets to ask where the character breakfat tickets could be used.

I think some of those are just breakfasts, not character breakfasts. So, be sure of the type you want before you get a PS.

If these character breakfasts are booked up quickly, should we not be booking them now? If tickets are only sent out (in our case, by Virgin) a couple of weeks prior to departure, all the places might be gone...no?

We have a free breakfast with our pass. We wanted a character one, chose Chef Mickeys and have already got a PS for the time and date we wanted by ringing the USA from here.

They did not need a reference code or anything but did make a note that we would be using a voucher.

Even though we don't leave until the 8th march we have already got PS's for character breakfasts at Cinderellas Royal Table (a credit card deposit is required for this one), Chef Mickeys and evening meal at Bomas so we can get the time and date we want.

Keswick1uk, you are absolutely right.

For this "free" character breakfast we will probably go to the Grand Floridian 1900 Park Fare on the first day at MK

I'm also making a PS for a character breakfast at the Crystal Palace for sometime in the second week.

Alton, as far as I am aware you can call for priority seating up to 90 days before the day you want to have your character breakfast .
You don't need the breakfast ticket before you arrange the PS.

The character breakfast on this 10-day world ticket does not cover Cindy's Royal Table or Crystal Palace.

Regards,

rannoch
