I'm starting to plan our next trip in August :cool1: and we have decided to go for 10 days this time. Our last trip was 8 days and we were able to get away with not doing any laundry, has anyone gone for 10 days and not done any?

for 9 days and i did do laundry - i would definitly recommend it! I got to pack a bit lighter, and i did laundry probably more towards the end of the trip, so i was also able to come home w/clean laundry!

I stayed at the CBR and while at the pool one early morning, i just threw in the laundry swam etc and then folded! not a big deal at all

i definitly recommend it - it was so great not to have to do so so much laundry when i got home, and it did not ruin my day of vacation either!

We went for 10 night, 11 days last September. It was DH, DS (8) , DD (3) and myself. No way on the face of this earth did I do laundry. :lmao:

I wouldn't even consider it. A vacation is a vacation. I took 3 suitcases and a carry-on. No way was I taking away from any Park or Pool time to do laundry. I hate to even iron clothes that get wrinkled in the suitcase. ;)

I've done laundry on a few of our trips. I hate coming home with bags of dirty clothes.:scared:

I do a few loads while my son is splashing in the pool.

I don't doing laundry while on vacation, but cooking is out of the question.

I did laundry four times (three times at WDW) on a two week trip. 3 days driving, 11 days WDW, 3days Daytona. We were at All-Stars (familiy suites ROCK) and the laundry facility was very nice. I bought a bunch of plastic hangers and hung almost everything up, so the laundry didn't take up much of my time.

There are six of us and dirty laundry bags/piles took away from the vacation feel of the room. :confused3 I felt better when all the outfits were back in there little zip bags. I'd rather have the Suburban less packed with clothing, more room for souveniers.

We did 9 days without doing laundry. We wore pants/shorts & capri's more than once but had clean shirts everyday with a couple of extra for "just in case" we also had a gazillion pairs of new socks.

I'm on vacation and laundry was not on my agenda. When we packed to leave, we sorted the laundry into the duffle bags and upon return the laundry was sorted and ready for the washer.

I just did 7 days last week. Although we did stay in a pool home offsite I just threw a load in at night when we got back from the parks and then dried it either that night (the washer seemed to take forever) or first thing in the morning. I would probably consider doing laundry also if we stayed onsite. It was a lot nicer getting home and having clean clothes to put away.

We did 9 nights with 2 little ones and I didn't do laundry once! Then again DH did it two times:rotfl2: Hey, I was 6 mos pregnant with #3 at the time.

So DH did do laundry 2 nights at WL toward the end of our trip. The kiddos were sleeping and we were just hanging out on the balony over the pool so it wasn't like we missed something to do it. However, DH did say it was a big pain in the neck and he can't wait for our first DVC stay so we have our own W/D on hand!

I usually do laundry if it is more than 4 nights, or if we are staying at a DVC villa.

We went last August, and it wasn't unusual for us to change clothes in the afternoon before heading out for the evening. It was brutually hot in August! We were luckily in a DVC villa so we had a w/d in the villa, and I could do a load or two a day. I just found the heat made it difficult to re-wear any clothes.

Since we always wear 2+ outfits per day, we usually do laundry if we stay more than 5 days. It really doesn't feel lke the chore it does at home and we get to wear all of our favorites again!

We have stayed in villas where we always do laundry and also in "regular" rooms where I will usually do a load or two when we get back to the room at night or while waiting for everyone to get up or during a pool time. I usually do it near the end of the trip. Once I experienced the joy of coming home with mostly clean clothes....I can't go back. If DH and the kids don't want to be by the quiet pool, they'll go up to the main pool and I'll sit and read my book while the laundry is going. It is so peaceful! That was at CBR. I'm not sure where other resorts have their laundry facilities located.

I am going to do laundry on this trip for the first time, because we will be at WDW for a week , then the Disney Cruise for the week after. I don't think the rooms at POP or DCL are big enough to hold all of our stuff for that long. We will have formal clothes for the cruise and we are doing MNSSHP, it would be sooooo much!! But I think the laundry area is close to the pool at POP, so I will do that while my DH and DD swim.:laundy:

I am packing light, so laundry is definitely in the cards for us! Washer/dryer are in our condo though, so easy to do - throw in a load as we get up, it'll be ready for the dryer by the time we are ready to go. Take the clothes out of the dryer when we come back for midday break, or in the evening. We'll be mostly wearing clothes that don't wrinkle too much, so it'll be fine.

I prefer to do laundry on a long trip because this enables me to pack lighter-less shorts, capris but I do pack different tops.

We go 10 days every year. The last two trips I've done laundry. I liked it better. Not as much to do when you get home, can get out the spots before they become stains, less clothes to pack, etc. But it certainly is just a personal preference things.

When I do laundry, I just pick a day to get up early. Run down through it in the wash, go take a shower, go down and throw it in the dryer, go get the kids ready and then run down and pull it all up. I notice it way less than when I do it at home (must be the multiple machines) and there are no crowds at that time.

The last time we went to wdw was the only time I didn't do laundry. It was a week long vacation. and I swore never agian. It was so gross backing dirty stinky clothes and then I did loads and loads of laundry. While everyone sleeps I would rather do laundry.:laundy:

We usually do 10 days. I pack 10 each of undies & socks with 5 days PJ's & outfits for each of us with 2 sets of out of season stuff (just in case) plus 1 full set of everything in a carry on. We don't wear anything more than once before washing.

I keep a dirty laundry bag in the closet. Around day 5 I launder all the dirty stuff with detergent from home. I fill the laundry bag until it looks like I can empty out 1 of my suitcases and then I fill it with dirty stuff in WDW shopping bags to keep the ick factor low. By the time I go home I usually have 1 full dirty suitcase & 1 full suitcase with extra clean stuff in it.

I do laundry twice per week/trip at minimum.

We normally stay off-site at a condo with laundry ammenities though so it isn't a big deal at all.

We hate packing tons of stuff! It is much easier for us to take 3 changes of clothes plus what we have on when we leave.

I too hate packing dirty clothes with whatever clean I have left. Usually we leave with a suitcase full of clean clothes!

I can not imagine how gross it would be to pack sweaty laundry after a trip in August. Our clothes were so soaked with sweat when we went in June, I was thankful to be able to do laundry daily in an off site villa. When we vacation at the beach in August, the house we rent does not have a washer so I go do laundry at least once on the trip and it is worth every bit of my time.

Going in April and I will not be doing it until we get back. I bring a mesh bag and put it into one suitcase on way home.
