10 Day Tickets

I'm going to be purchasing 10-Day No Expiration tickets in the next few days and I'm trying to decide whether to add on the "Water & More" option. I know we wouldn't use the Park Hopper so I'm not adding it on since we normally get to the park when it opens and then close it down.

I have a 5 yr old and 8 yr old DD, and we normally go to WDW in the fall.

We purchased the 10 day non expiring water park and more tickets last year before the ticket prices went up. I am so glad we did. We did our first Disney water park day ever this past February and we had a fantastic time. We figured for the price, we have 20 days worth of entrances to Disney parks (10 regular parks and 10 water parks) and that just helps us stretch out our tickets a bit.

10 day no-expiration is definitely the route to take, because you save more, and we all know everyone is gonna eventually come back.

I always do the waterparks and more. 2 trips into a waterpark cover the cost. We love to do them but only do maybe 1 or 2 a year. We also went into disney quest for the first time at Christmas and I can see going back for an hour or so at a time.

So let me ask a question. We are planning on going back more often then we did in the past. A big mistake on my part. I have a friend that buys the annual pass, plus he is a DVC member. He times the pass so that it last him like 3 trips. For example he is there now and just picked his annual pass. He will go again around Christmas and probably in the spring...plus his wife is a teacher so her and DD go down some times without him when he can not get off. I was looking into that route, but affraid that something might postpone the second trip and we may loose out on the benefits of the AP. Is is better to go with the 10 day no expiration? They truly don't expire....ever?? What happens if they get lost...if you write the card number down somewhere can they reissue your remaining days?

For us, the non-expirey ticket works best for short trips. For Free Dining, or any trip when we plan to go to parks for 5+ days....it ends up being about $30 - $35 per day to just buy our tickets as part of our package. When we're not staying onsite or doing other things, and only going to the parks for 2 - 3 days....it would work out to $60 - $70 per day for tickets...way too much. This is when we use our non-expires - only $25 per day.

Whether or not you should get an AP likely depends on how many actual days at the parks you plan to have over the course of a year. Figure out how many and then figure out how much per day it works out to be.

When buying a 10 day no-expire, if you have any interest in water parks - I think it is DEFINITELY worth buying the WPM option. It is only about $55 for 10 days!!! - A little more than $5 per day - a BARGAIN, if you ask me!
