10 day ticket swapped for AP - will this work?

Will this work? I have a package currently booked. Would like to keep our package with room and tickets and hopefully book Fast Passes before we leave home IF they are even offered for our time in December. We may want to flip our tickets to annual passes when we get there, but we aren't sure yet. Would we retain our Fast Passes when we swap our ticket out for annual pass or do we re-book them when we get the annual pass? I have no clue about any of this - we have never thought of doing the annual pass before.

No one knows for certain yet as all of the FP+ details haven't been released and what has been released contains a lot of gray matter. I've been an AP holder since 2007 and am not looking forward to the implementation of FP+ (it's enough having to book dining 180 days out, let alone determine what attractions I want to ride and at what time). No information has been released yet as to what the new system will entail for AP and PAP holders.
