10 day pass vs AP

I know that AP holders who stay off property are only able to plan 7 days of fast passes. Does anyone know if I buy a 10 day ticket now and upgrade to an AP when I arrive if I will be able to keep all of the planned fast passes? Or should I just buy the AP now and hope for the best when it comes to my last 3 days of fast passes?

Thanks!

PS: Mods, if this isn't the best part of the forum to post this in, please move it to a more appropriate place.

I believe your FPs will not be affected by a ticket upgrade - but there's a dedicated FastPassPlus thread on the Theme Parks Advice and Strategies forum.

Yes, you will keep your FP+. That's exactly how we get our APs every time...buy a 10 day ticket and convert it.

And no worries about getting FP+ anyway, if you know how to use the FP+ system, you can find one for pretty much anything on pretty much any day.

Yes, no worries on that, your fastpasses do transfer when you upgrade or change passes in any way. Have Fun!!
