We just recieved our 10 day ,NE ,PH in the mail. They're cardboard and i was wondering if it's acceptable to laminate them? Any insight wquld be appreciated.

No, you should not laminate park tickets. The turnstiles may not be able to read them.

You should photocopy the back of them so that you can get them replaced if lost.

thats what i was curious about. Saving the #'s is a good idea.I would've thought that they'd be made out of hard plactic instead of flimsy cardboard.

They are actually made of Tyvek and are very durable. Disney APs are made from the same stuff and I've never had any problems with mine.

They're not cardboard, they're a synthetic material that's very hard to tear. They're sturdier than they look.

You definitely don't want to laminate them. The turnstiles will reject them.

Sign them. So if they get mixed up, you will know which ticket belongs to whom. And if there is a problem with the ticket, you will be able to provide an ID (Driver's license) to show it belongs to you.

Don't worry about losing ticket media. They have you in the computer and all you have to do is go to any customer service location and the tickets will be quickly replaced. We're rather notorious for losing passes, leaving them at home, etc. Not a problem, and you'll be in good company at customer service!

Assuming you buy directly from Disney. If you buy from a 3rd party vendor, it's not so easy.

ULESSS, you really have made a copy of the back of your ticket and have it someplace you can find. Lots of people know they should do that - not all do.

I wasn't real happy when i bought my first AP and found it not to be made of hard plastic. I quickly found out how durable the tyvek material is and it was no problem, they survived three trips with no problems.

Out of curiousity, has anyone else had problems with their APs becoming desensitized? We've kept ours by themselves and on the last trip, had to have the APs replaced 3 different times. Completely unacceptable. Nothing like waiting in a long line, the wife gets in...then I have to go and get out of line and get a new pass created while she sits there waiting with the baby.

No...but DH's got really wet on a water ride or something once and it got pretty funky after it dried. We found the corners took the worst beating but they made it thru 3 trips to the world.

We've had APs for many years and have not had any issues with them.

The biggest problem with tickets becoming demagnitized comes from people keeping their ticket near the cell phones.

Keep copies of your tickets because the only time tickets can really be looked up is if it is a ticket with demographics (AP's, FL resident multi-day tickets). Sometimes they can also be found by using your credit card to find the transaction used to purchase them, but this is really only good if they are purchased directly through Disney.
