10 Day Mexican Riviera **now with pictures!!**

Hello, my daughter is the 'tiny cutie who sang Mulan' in the talent show. I am so glad you are doing a trip report. I enjoy reading it so much! Please keep it coming. I enjoyed watching your dance on youtube. :cheer2:
Thank you very much. We really enjoyed your daughters performance in the talent show. She really was adorable!

Hello again. My daughter remembers you very well. When I first read your TR (before pictures), I was wondering if it was you since you mentioned you love to dance. After seeing the pictures, I showed the TR to my daughter and she was so happy to see you again. She was so glad when I told her you mentioned her in your TR. We really enjoyed our cruise and it looks like you and your husband did also. pixiedust:

April 25 Second Cabo Day

We didn’t plan on going in to Cabo today because it was a short day there. I think the last tenders had to be back at 11:00 or 12:00. So we had coffee with Cabo in background.
IMG_3800.JPG

(Notice my new cover up!) We took our second cup to Quiet Cove and got one of the double lounges. Yea! Those are cozier with your honey. I finished my book I had brought on the trip. Sidebar…for any Laura Ingalls Wilder fans, take a trip back to your childhood and read The Wilder Life by Wendy McClure. It was perfect for the cruise.

So DH went to get our favorite lunch and meantime Tisa showed up to play some pool games. Nobody really was jumping up to join in so I went up to play and eventually other people joined in. DH brought back lunch and was a good sport and joined in too. We had to match answers to questions girls vs. guys.
Once again, the women won making it 3 for 3 on this cruise! We got a free drink of the day for winning.

We cruised out of Cabo, enjoying the magnificent scenery for the last time.

Not too long after we went more to the open sea, the wind picked up and the temp. dropped. We gathered our stuff up and headed upstairs to the Cove café. We went to the 2:00 show of Dreams. It was definitely the best production show of the cruise. Great effects, good story, lots of characters. Really, topnotch. Christiaan introduced the show by doing a one handed cartwheel. He said he was trying out for Circurious the troupe from last night. He was always such fun and always full of energy and happy to see everyone.

We had made Palo reservations earlier that day so we got cleaned up for that. We wrote a note for Terry and Maggie (our servers) to let them know we wouldn’t be at dinner. We left it on the Parrot Cay maitre d station. We found out later they never received it. Oh well we tried. We had another great dinner topped off by another chocolate soufflé. I felt like every meal I just had to eat a little and I was full again. (Has anyone noticed I haven’t mentioned going to the gym since the beginning of the cruise? I was starting to feel a little like an Oompa-Loompa!)

After rolling out of the dining room, we made our way to Wavebands to see John Charles a musical comedian. He was pretty funny. Of the nightclub acts he was the most memorable. When In Effect came on, we danced about two songs and then back to the cabin. Last day tomorrow. :sad1:

So lost in translation or in the memory banks, there was a martini tasting, the one that we won on Match your Mate. Romy was a marvelous host in Cadillac Lounge. We had five mini martinis at this tasting. We had a brief history of the martini. Some how Churchill was involved. The whole thing is a bit fuzzy being as how there were five martinis! As i recall, there was a dirty martini (fav) chocolate, a vanilla something, a cosmopolitan type and forgive me something else perhaps lemony? Anyway, it was all delightful, Romy is great.Very funny and knowledgeable. As long as I am adding things in, somewhere else along the way we booked the 15 night Hawaii cruise! Yeah, something else to look forward to! :goodvibes I am slow to post the last day because it makes me sad. :( Why cant real life be like cruises? Why cant first graders do my every bidding with a smile and yes of course? Why doesnt someone else make my bed and fix marvelous meals? Would we get tired of that? I dont think so. The end is near but before that happens we are spending the long week-end at Disneyland to see the new parade and check out the new pool lounge at Disneyland hotel and new menus at Hungry Bear. Gotta love the magic!!!:wizard:

Sacdance
I'm really enjoying your trip report. Looking forward to more....

You must try the lemon cupcake at the Hungry Bear. DH loves the berry pie too.

Please post on the new parade. We will be in DL 6-3 for the opening of the Little Mermaid ride. But we're excited to see the new parade too.

Can't wait to hear about the Tiki Bar and restaurant at the DL hotel too.
Have a fun trip.

Thank-you for such a fabulous report! Been reading up! Helps to know what to look forward to for our honeymoon cruise on the Wonder in Oct!! Woo hoo!!

We went to DL for the long week-end. Weather was good, not too hot not too chilly. We saw lots of new things! When you go stop by Trader Sams and Tangaroa Terrace for drinks and a meal. Located at the re-designed Disneyland Hotel.

Also got to go on Little Mermaid twice! The new audio-animatronics are great. And you are very close to the figures on this ride.

New Star Tours also! Very fun new queue and new destinations. My DH was a smuggled rebel spy.
IMG_3953.JPG

They were letting AP holders on for a soft opening.

Duffy was also a delightful companion as he was on the cruise.

New parade is very colorful and fun. Here is Rapunzel from Tangled.
IMG_3874.JPG

Also got to eat at the new Hungry Bear. yummy fried green tomato sandwich. Also got to sit in with the band again!
IMG_3851.JPG

I love them.

I will get to the last cruise day soon.

So the last full day of the cruise has finally come about. April 26th.

Rough seas and quite chilly.
IMG_3812.JPG

We stayed cozy in the Cove Cafe after picking up our morning coffee. Then we went to see Gnomeo and Juliet in 3-D. It was very cute. I want some of those gnomes for my garden! Then off to Parrot Cay for lunch at their buffet. The roughness was getting to and I wasnt feeling great. We went one last time to Rain Forest-the hot room, steam room and then napped on the hot tile lounges.

DH went to Diversions for a beer, but I couldnt shake the queasiness I felt, so went back the cabin. Apparently DH also went to Cadillac Lounge for a martini. I had quite a rest and got up to be ready for the last show, Til We Meet Again. A teary time for me. I am such a softie.

Had to finish packing and put the bags out. Danced a few crowded dances in Promanade Lounge with the Dreamers, then to Wavebands for not crowded at all dancing.

Time for dinner, in Tritons one last time. Sashimi salad, and orange roughy.
IMG_3819.JPG

We went to Wavebands and saw the Pub Night skit. Really funny, do not miss getting the chance to see the cruise staff in this one. In-Effect played again and we danced a few good-bye dances.

The seas were rough enough for the closet door to pop open and the light come on after we went to bed! A little startling! Once asleep though we were OK.

Good-bye to the Wonder. We had a wake up call from Mickey, several of them in fact. We had the later breakfast seating, so got our coffee and sat on Deck 5 above the Atrium watching the hustle and bustle.
IMG_3820.JPG

We were in Tritons for breakfast and had a chance to say good-bye to Terry and Maggie and all out table mates. (The small sequined Mickey head I had stuck on the mosaic the night before was still there in Tritons belly button. We wanted out own Hidden Mickey! Wonder if it still is???) Disembarked and picked up our bags at the blue Donald. It took awhile to get a shuttle back to the DoubleTree. We were back on the road pointed north about 11:00.

It was a great cruise and we are already looking forward to the next WONDERful time on the cruise to Hawaii next April.

In summation: Having the Rain Forest pass was wonderful. It was a treat everyday. Poolside drink service a pleasure. Victor was one of my favorite CMs. Cabo was the most beautiful port. The water and scenery were absolutly beautiful. The pirate Adventure in PV was very fun, of the cheesiest kind. The shows each night were of great quality, but the cabaret acts were not as memorable. We had good service both in our cabin and at dinner.

Thanks for reading, if you are about to go on your own cruise Adventure, enjoy! Adventure is out there!

Great TR! :thanks:

Makes me even more excited for our own cruise in October!:banana:

Thanks for reading! I hope you have a wonderful time on your cruise!

(Remember to pack warm clothes for the two chilly days! Plan your indoor activities for then. They say it is always like that through that stretch of ocean)
