10 day DxDDP & Snack Credit Plan - need snack ideas

thanks for the info. it is a big help. the planning is a little overwhelming at first glance. We have made the main ADRs for each day. We tried to use the TS meals once or at most twice in one day. We are doing a couple of the TS that require 2xcredits like royal table and morimoto. If snacks can be used for Coffee at the park, that is pure awesomeness.

I'm pretty sure zebra domes at the Mara are a snack credit. That's what I've read anyway. I'd investigate but I'm not going until December!!

ETA-try beignets at POFQ!!

That would be great if they are. It would make sense because they aren't really very expensive even for four.

I wish there was a way to get a bit more 'deluxe' of a snack by spending 2 or more credits. Like topped funnel cake or waffles or mini donuts for two, or Garbage Pail ice cream for four...

Okay, I think I’ve got everything tweaked! I am so excited for our planned days and this is what we’ve chosen for our food/snacks…

We are a family of four – my daughter is an ‘adult’ at 11 and my son is 5.

10 days DxDDP = 120 MC 80 SC

I’m still going to have leftover snack credits. If you have any suggestions, let me know! If I have a range – it’s because I’m not sure we’ll be able to eat enough for one for every person.

Day 1 – Magic Kingdom – Total MC: 12 SC: 4 – 8

8:10 – Be Our Guest QS (I’m still going to keep trying for an even earlier time.)

Snack – Churros (2 - 4 C)

Noon – Chef Mickey’s

5:10 – Be Our Guest TS (I might move this a little later – thoughts.)

Snack – Sleepy Hollow Funnel Cake (2 - 4 C)

I personally would have breakfast somewhere else, breakfast not getting such glamorous reviews, and dinning at the same place on the same day, my family would not like it. Maybe switch for Chef Mickey for a later breakfast, snack, the dinner at 5:10, then grab another snack if needed. I know that my family would not be able to have a buffet for lunch then a few hours later sitting back down to eat.

Day 2 – Blizzard Beach then DHS with F! MC: 4 [16] SC: 12 – 16 [18 – 24]

Breakfast made of SCs at Landscape of Flavours (8 C)

Lunch at BB – made of SCs and maybe a little OOP at Lottawater Lodge (8C)

Snack – Sand Pail Ice Cream – OOP

6:30 – 50’s PT (F! package not available at Mama Melrose on this date.)

Day 3 – Animal Kingdom MC: 12 [28] SC: 4 [22 – 28]

8:05 – Donald’s Safari at Tusker House

Snack – Mickey Pretzels/Cinnamon Nuts from Chakrandi (4 C)

1:00 – Rainforest Café

6:30 – Jiko (4 TS for my hubby and I, Kid’s are eating at Simba’s Clubhouse)

Possibly Pick up Zebra Domes OOP after leaving Jiko at Mara’s.

Day 4 – Epcot MC: 12 [40] SC: 6 – 8 [28 – 36]

8:00 – Akershus Princess Dining

Snack – School Bread – Norway (2 – 4)

1:20 – Biergarten

Snack – Caramel Apples or Sweets Karamell Kuche (4)

7:35 Rose & Crown – stay for Illuminations

We just had dinner there not to long ago( Biergarten), I have to say we were really disappointed with the buffet and it was super heavy. But the service, show and interior are always so beautiful. You might think about something a little lighter for lunch.

Day 5 – Typhoon Lagoon and Disney Springs MC: 8 [48] SC: 8 – 12 [36 – 48]

9:45 – Kona Café at Poly

Lunch at TL – (8 -12 SC) + Mini Donuts OOP

6:45 – T-Rex

DH and I had lunch at T-Rex 2 weeks ago what a fun time. They had changed up the menu, and had some new items. Which we thought was great, and really enjoyed the new menu offerings.

Day 6 – Magic Kingdom MC: 16 [64] SC: 2 – 6 [38 – 54]

10:00 – California Grill Brunch (8 TS)

Snack? – Lunching Pad Cream-cheese filled pretzel (2 – 4)

2:45 – Tony’s Town Square

8:55 – Yachtsman Steakhouse (4 TS for my hubby and I, Kid’s are eating at Sandcastle Clubhouse)

Snack? – Somewhere around World Showcase for hubby and I (0 – 2)

I was thinking that you will be finishing up with brunch around 11:30ish, then lunch at 2:45 at Tonys, that's only a couple of hours in between. As a thought you might want to push it a little closer to 3:30 mark, so you will be spaced out more.

Day 7 – Epcot MC: 12 [76] SC: 4 – 8 [42 – 62]

7:30 – Cape May Café

Snack – Preztels from Germany? (2 – 4)

11:50 – Beaches and Cream Soda Shop

Snack – Something from Karamell Kuche or France? (2 – 4)

7:00 – Teppan Edo

Day 8 – Hollywood Studios MC: 12 [88] SC: 10 [52 – 72]

8:10 – Disney Junior at Hollywood & Vine

Lunch – made of SCs and maybe a little OOP at Starring Rolls/Oasis/Dino Gerties/Great Movie Ride sampling and sharing (10 C) OOP Toluca Turkey Legs (Maybe just one to try)

5:30 – Mickey’s Backyard BBQ (8 TS)

Day 9 – Animal Kingdom MC: 12 [100] SC: [56 – 76]

7:30 – Boma

Zebra Domes from Mara OOP if we did not pick them up before when at Jiko

12:00 – Yak & Yeti

6:30 – Raglan Road

Snacks?

Day 10 – Magic Kingdom MC: 20 [120] SC: [56 – 74]

8:00 – Crystal Palace

1:00 – Cinderella’s Royal Table (8 TS)

Snack – Dole Whip (4)

7:30 – California Grill (8 TS)

Snacks?

Do you have credits for breakfast and/ or lunch on departure day, Maybe Chef Mickey for early breakfast depending on your time frame, or QS at resort. For us we just use our snack credits as we want and just use then when ever. We always have had some left over, so we would spend then the night before departure day, or depending on time the morning of departure day. You could get items for breakfast in the room, muffins, yogurt, or eat them on ME. or in the airport of course depending on your time factor. My friends, get sandwiches for EOS for the road when they drive, they stop at DS for lunch normally at T-REX or RainForest, then head down to EOS and grab some sandwiches for the road back to GA. We have gotten lollipops, boxed cookies and other packaged snacks to take home to keep the magic going a little bit longer, when we lived in GA. Also Goofy's candy shop ( DS) or main street bakery to spend the credits.

Yes, we can certainly use them the night of and breakfast... we did use them for the last day breakfast last time... Last time we had soooo many freeeekin snacks left OMG I can't even! LOL... I don't mind a few souvieners, but we supplied all the kids in the neighbourhood with a cute snack and had so many, some actually went bad! LOL We are 100% going to EOS the night we get in... will have to see if we can use a few snacks there.

Right around the corner is Goofy's Candy Shop:thumbsup2, lots of options here for a more decadent dessert :worship:. Also you might want to check out the new food trucks and see what they offer.

The food trucks didn't offer anything appealing for snack credits. They seem geared towards maximizing QS credits.

In Disney Springs, my kids used their snack credits for ice cream at Ghiradelli (it was ginormous for a snack credit) and a smoothie.

We tried to find interesting options for my "clean eating" DH in Disney Springs but there was pretty much nothing. He used his snack credits mostly in Epcot and for breakfast in the Pop food court. The various parks had much more interesting options. In Disney Springs, it was mostly desserts and drinks.

I don't know if I would recommend paying OOP for the ice cream pail at the waterpark, Its fun, but with the vast amount of snack credits you have, you can buy individual ice cream sundaes and that would be of more value. That said, I get it. I have paid OOP for the kitchen sink and it was a blast :)

I hear you - but there is something about sharing all that ice cream! I wonder if I asked them to put all four sundaes in one container if they would???? Hmmmm....

One thing I don't see you have listed for snacks are drinks....no matter what the weather, you will feel MUCH better if you are well hydrated at Disney. Bottled water isn't the most exciting use of a snack credit, but it's a good way to use those credits up.
