how much are you really saving?

im getting vouchers from getaway today for 26.50 and 16.50 -for charcter brekfests (3 of them)
35.00- 16.50-for goofys dinner. would i save more with the ap? (if i got my ap)

The AP discount cannot beat the GAT discount on those meals. However, when you're making multiple visits within a 365 day period, the AP becomes the best way to go because of the cost of park tickets. Two 3 day adult park hoppers cost $338, and one premium adult AP costs $379(and comes with parking, 10% off all merchandise purchases over $10 and 15% off all food purchases at participating locations over $10). If you went deluxe, than two 3 day adult park hoppers is more expensive than the AP.

What you could do is upgrade to the AP on the day you've used all the GAT perks.

I found this info on another current thread - posted a little while ago today:

The rates on this site and every other site are wrong. I called Disney Dining yesterday and got all the rates for the character meals. I was shocked at how much they had went up just since we were there in January. I will list the rates I got yesterday and since I already have both discounts figured for the people in my party I will list those as well. Sorry I only have these three. I wrote the rest down but didn't include them in the email to myself because we don't usually do brunch or breakfast. Hope this helps though because the sites really need to update their prices.

Goofy's Kitchen - Adult $39.64 10% -$40.14 15%-$37.91
Kids $19.82 10% -$17.84 15%-$16.85

Ariels Grotto Dinner - Adult $39.64 10%-$35.68 15%-$33.69

So far they have various vouchers for everything but the Princess Breakfast at Ariel's.


Go to GAT. Put cursor over Vacation Packages, hover over Tickets, then click on Disneyland Resort. Destination will be filled in of course as Disneyland Resort, but you need to change the Type drop-down to Dining. Then you will see the choices for Disneyland Resort.

Click "MORE" for each one to see the particulars of each one. The Disney Character Breakfast voucher is the one with the broadest scope, with "Goofy and friends at Goofy’s Kitchen, ... Lilo and Stich at the PCH Grill, ... Chip’n’Dale at Story Teller’s Café or, ... Minnie-n-friends at the Plaza Inn".


Use "podcast" to get $10 off, which should get rid of the fee they add to orders.

If you go thought the disney website and order a vacation package with Goofy's Kitchen Dinner included (today's price) peak season:

37.15 for an Adult
17.30 for a Child

Please note the prices for the meals change from peak to off peak around August 25th 2008...if you want the up to the minute price you should call Disney Dinning to get prices...

you have to go to the top and click on tickets for Disneyland...scroll down and you will see it...I just wanted to add that if you are planning on doing Minnie and Friends breakfast, the GAT is NOT cheaper than the regular price and definitely not cheaper than AP rates...

regular price is $25 something for A and $12.95...so with AP discount its $23 something and $11.66 for kids...

Queenbillabong those prices are during a holiday season..ie summer, thanksgiving, christmas etc.....Minnies is $25.85 for adults and $12.92 for children on a regular basis...and if im not mistaken, Jade is going in Oct which is NOT a holiday season...Jade you should call Disney Dine and ask them what the rates are for non peak dining before you purchase these vouchers because with the 10% discount it knocks the adult price down to $23.27 and $11.63 for kids...so you might want to check on Goofy's as well...

Jade - those are the prices you pay in the park. There would be 10% off those with an AP. So the GAT prices are much better than AP rates I did not check Ariel's or Lilo and Stitch because we're not going to either of those this trip.
