Hello everyone! princess:

I need to get a sense of what a 10 am ceremony timeline/events of the day schedule looks like. Do you have one? What did your day look like? If at Sea Breeze Point even better :yay: Thanks!

Ours was at the WP, but it went something like this:

0500-start getting ready (6 girls with professional hair and makeup...should have had more time!)
0830-Guys pictures
0900-girls pictures (didn't really make this because of above, but I was probably out the door by 0915...still felt rushed)
1000-ceremony, immediately following staged exit and roll right into pictures while the rest of the guests go to pre-reception
1100-pre-reception
1115-we arrived at reception. We had some cheese and wine and mingled a bit before we were "officially" introduced and kicked off our first dance. This was very event driven. I have no idea what time it was!
1200-food!
1300-father/daughter mother/son dance (also event-driven...when everyone's done eating!)
1345 (or so...can't remember): cake cutting
1400-pictures with the Mice
1430-more pictures with the bridal party (folks with little kids were leaving by this time)
1500-we closed the place down.

Sure, I would have like it to last longer, but you gotta realize if you have guests with little kids, they've been up since at least 0730 to make it to your wedding, so they're probably zonked!

We went back to the room, took a nap and walked out to the DP at 1930.

Sorry for the military time...I get sick of typing :'s

Hi! I'm interested in this topic as well. Questions--must you take pictures beforehand?? Or can you just do pictures afterwards. This question is geared for those who are having a ceremony at the WP (not Epcot). I'm a little nervous about waking up so early to get ready for a 10 am ceremony and believe me, I am NOT a morning person at all. I like the idea of a 10am ceremony though because you get to enjoy the entire day together (and get a nap/rest in the middle of the day, possibly). But I would rather be one time for the ceremony and NOT worry about photos until later. When must you leave your room to get pictures taken prior to a ceremony at the WP if you are staying at the GF (preferably) or other resorts???
Also, has anyone ever been late to their ceremony at the WP?? I'm sure that all the brides never want to be late for their own ceremony, but fifteen minutes late isn't sooo bad, is it?? Or does Disney MAKE certain you are not late for the ceremony?? Just curious.... :rotfl: THANKS!! :cheer2:

You don't HAVE to take pictures beforehand. I certainly didn't take many at all before I got on the coach. But, I will tell you I missed out on many important shots/opportunities because of it.

If you don't have 6 girls getting ready at the same time with 2 stylists, you don't need to start getting ready that early. If it's just you, factor a couple hours before hand. Your groom will only take a couple minutes, so it's best for him to get some pictures with his groomsmen prior.

After the ceremony, your photographer will likely do group shots at the WP, but then everyone rushes to the reception (and Disney rushes you out of the WP). Our photographer took us around the GF for pictures of the two of us, which are great, but we didn't get to take more with our bridal party till after we'd eaten. By this time, they had taken my bouquet for a refresh, my MOH's DD had smeared chocolate on her dress, and everyone wasn't looking their absolute best. Plus, once we started to take pictures, everyone else started to leave. They might have left anyway, but it makes it hard to socialize if you're torn between pictures you want and your guests.

If you're worried about getting up early, get ready with just you (or one other person) but still aim to do pictures with your bridal party or any family ones beforehand.

Tiggerrifficheidi, THANK YOU very much for your input and insight! It really helps me to understand the importance of taking photos beforehand! Duh--everyone will certainly look their BEST and be most refreshed beforehand! Also, this puts things into better perspective from another person's experience! I greatly appreciate your help and advice! BTW, what important shots and opportunities did you miss out on in the morning?? Your photos are ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!! You look STUNNING and simply AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL!! I just thought you should know (I'm sure you heard it a hundred times already!)!! :goodvibes THANK YOU!!;)

Thank you so much for the sweet compliments! I do love so many of my pictures, so I don't want to sound bummed out about it. But, I can guarantee you that no one will be as critical of your pics (and the pics you didn't get) as you! (or, if you're like me, your mom :))

And honestly, photoshop can cover a multitude of sins (or chocolate smears).

The only pics I took with my family or DH with his family were immediately following the ceremony in the WP. LOVE the WP...but it sorta looks canned and BORING when you have pic after pic after pic where you and the groom stand still and people hop in and out. We could have gotten much more beautifully composed shots if we had scheduled some time before the wedding at the GF.

When I first came down to the lobby of the GF, the Roots were there. I knew I was running late at this point (my BMs weren't even ready yet), and they (Roots) asked me if I would like to take some pics with my family or do it later. First of all...they shouldn't have given me a choice :rotfl2: When I'm giddy happy...I don't care WHAT happens around me. We could have taken some beautiful pics in the GF lobby, but I thought we needed to be running for the door because we were late.

Plus, I really wanted more pics with my maids. And pics of my maids and I walking to the lobby TOGETHER (which didn't happen).

We didn't do a First Look, but if you do, you'll need time for that, too. I think EVERY photographer known to man LOVES First Looks, and they certainly get some of the couple shots out of the way when you're fresh...and before the guests are waiting for you at the reception.

But, from the Grooms' perspective...DH told me (without me asking him what he thought) that he was so glad we didn't. He said he can never replace the feeling of waiting for me at the front of the WP with all his family looking on. And then seeing me for the first time as the doors were opened. We both agree that a first look would have still been special...but he was glad to do it the way we did (I really didn't care one way or the other).

Okay, that had nothing to do with pictures...off my soap-box now.:rotfl:
