We just arrived home from the music department awards picnic. Lina received her plaque for her one year service of being in the choir. I went straight to the picnic from work, which was good because as soon as I got there the skies opened up and I would have gotten soaked if I had still been out there walking around reading meters. Usually, there is an awards dinner, but this year they wanted to try something different and have a picnic. Luckily the park had three large pavillions that we were able to sit in to keep dry.

Nancy, you're right, everyone looked really sharp in black! :thumbsup2

Those stinky teens huh! :rolleyes1

Speaking of stinky teens...

While my sister is gone to England, my godson Miles will be living with us here for 3 weeks. He couldn't go with them because he has his grade 10 exams. Gotta go fix up Kira's playroom for him. :thumbsup2

And more ST's...just burning a video for my another one of my nephews, Nick who got himself a broken nose and a lacerated liver playing rugby on Thursday. He is in the hospital and basically can't move from his bed for the next few days. Thankfully the bleeding stopped and so far he doesn't need surgery. Just waiting on princess to wake from her nap so we can all go visit him.

I have no "welcome" pics--our Southernmost point was taken by Cheryl (thanks:goodvibes ) but I never thought to take one without us in it.

I had to laugh when you said your family was mad. Here is my family walking back to the ship after taking a pic at Southernmost Point........notice Emily's gesture.:rotfl:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
i love that pic.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
seen that gesture many times from our kids.:lmao: :lmao:
robin and i have been making that gesture a lot to ourselves these days.
::yes:: ::yes::

Kids, don't you just love 'em. Lina said she isn't interested in going to her Senior Breakfast, Senior Picnic or Senior Pizza Party. I really can't say anything about that because I didn't attend any of those myself, nor did Hazel.

All I cared about was getting through the Convocation and Graduation Ceremonies. Lina still has 8 more days of classes, then practice begins for the ceremonies.

Ha! I guilt tripped Sean into going to the breakfast and picnic today:thumbsup2 :woohoo:

He was being Mr. Antisocial and didn't care cause he said he'd never see these kids again.

So I went on to tell him how he only joined this school 2 years ago and
how friendly and accepting everyone was to him at the new school and how last night at the baccalaurete (sp?) ceremony many kids came up to him and were friendly and wanted to sign his year book and so he should shut up, suck it all up and go to these events and return everyone's friendliness if only for the next few days!

He went;)

Thanks.

Yes, the zoo was good. Left just as the rain started. The boys in our group we pretty well behaved for the most part.

The animals were very active. The peacocks were struttng their stuff with the feather wide, actually keeping others away. Two rhinos were bucking horns (one looked female, so may be they were mating :confused3 ). That one was in the water and the other wanted to go in. Then there were the lions. Let's just say they were very active. :rolleyes1 A mom next to us (not in our group) said to her little kid, look the lions are playing, the one is jumping on the other one. I'm thinking, lady, that ain't jumping. Maybe change that first letter to an "H". :rotfl2: The boys were amused. We quickly moved on - sorry no time for a pick of that (although I have one of the camels from last year ;) ).

:rotfl: :rotfl:
glad you had fun jeff. i was a chaperone for cassies field trip to the zoo when she was in 2nd grade. we WERE the cool parents back then.:hippie: :hippie:
our DL is a teacher and they took her class to the zoo last week and she said there was a lot of "wrestling" going on.:scared1:

Oh, my! Hope he feels better soon!
Rugby is a tough sport.

Hi Everyone (who are all probably sleeping while this west coaster is still awake)
Have to post a proud wife moment today. My DH Sean got to shoot at the range with the FBI today::cop: . Shot a 47 out of 50 with the sniper rifle. :woohoo: Then the FBI held a BBQ Lunch, and he came home looking like a racoon. Yes Mother Goose he does need the sunscreen lecture when you see him.:duck: He was all:hyper: when he got home:cool2:

Sad moment of the day was when Sarah called me at work crying. The problem with special ed (besides the disability) is that she is in a class of 9-12graders, so some of her friends graduated tonight. She sat out on our porch and listened to some of the ceremony.:sad1:

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
for the disney deputy. or shall we call him cool hand luke now??:worship:

and:hug:  for sarah.

One more prom photo to display. We received Lina's professional Senior Prom photo today, so I thought I'd post it. Adam still had his sunglasses on due to the shampoo getting in his eyes as he was getting ready for the prom.

better change that stinky teen title to SWEET TEEN.:thumbsup2
very nice andy. i'm sure you guys are very proud.

Nancy, wish you were here....
I just finished a killer ironing job!:headache:

Those graduation gowns that come all wrinkled in those plastic bags they shove them in.

1/2 hour to iron that all out:eek:
And I had to spray it with light starch to get those creases out and then it kept
sliding all over the ironing board.

YUCK I HATE IRONING!

But I was thinking of how much you'd enjoy it Nancy;)

10 weeks till Sean goes off to Florida!:thumbsup2

Did I mention that a couple of weeks ago he lost his credit/debit card?

I called it in lost and had it cancelled for him ( against Bob telling me to have him do it himself and be responsible, but Sean was really sick for a few days so as the horrible mother I am I did it for him:headache:)

Anyway, about a week and a half later he's showing me something in his wallet and guess what I see!:rolleyes1

He just looks at me and shrugs his shoulders and giggles:bitelip:

"Sean", I say angrily..." How many times did you even look in this wallet for your
missing card?"

Would you believe he looked in there 3 times!::yes::
Yup, my ADHD son.

Off to be all on his own in another state far away from ours!

Guess he's going to have to figure out some way of dealing with life and being responsible really really soon!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
he'll figure it out. we worried about cassie BIG TIME(me more so than robin.
but i'm a worrier). she did great though.:yay: sad part is, she left as our little girl
and now she seems all grown up.

Mike & Robin, we miss you guys!!! You need to post more  Hope things are turning around for you :thumbsup2

we miss everyone too.
believe me, you dont want to know all the stuff going on around here.
robins dads back in the hospital. getting violent in the nursing home again.
:headache: :headache:
and that the risk of boring everyone to tears, thats all i'm going to say about that.:headache:

and robin has filed for divorce over my refusal to get a new puppy.
:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1
i'm kidding of course. i'm still winning the discussions over a new poochie.

well rose snubbed me, :lmao: and everyone else saw underdogs lite on and headed for the hills, so i'm outta here.:cool2: :cool2:
