Good morning/afternoon all!

I survived another day diet-wise yesterday, but didn't get any exercise in. :headache:

I feel a head cold coming on, but I'm hoping if I take enough advil cold & sinus it will go away quickly.

Melody, there is a beer tasting on board, and my DH did it, but he said he liked the wine tasting better.

Wine tasting - 6 wines and a champagne (correct, Karen? Rose?)
Beer tasting - 4 beers

He also said the accompanying lecture/education portion was better for the wine tasting than the beer tasting. But, if you like beer, it may be worth a go.

In my photos it looks like 5 wines, 3 whites, 2 reds and a champagne.

The beer tasting was definitely 4 beers.

They definitely discussed more at the wine tasting.

I think that room only hold about 14-16 people, no?? I think our group would be much bigger than that. Also, I've read reports about that room getting REALLY hot when there's a big group in there! I wonder if we could take over one side of the restaurant instead??

I have recently received info/pics from 3 Bobers, but I can't add them to the site until I get my new puter :guilty:

I have been in that room twice for brunch and it is very hot when the sun is on that side. they do have a few fans.

g'morning Andy.

Let me know if you plan that trip. I'd be happy to meet with you and spend some time. There's quite a few places where you can see the big trees. Near Santa Cruz is a short train ride that takes you through the forests there, then there's Yosemite (Lots of Hilly hiking but absolutely beautiful) and perhaps the most famous is the Calavaras Big Trees.

We've done the train ride at Santa Cruz. It's great! We did it at Christmas time near the beach- Santa and Mrs. passed out candy canes for the kids.... my in-laws did the "big trees" train last summer and thoroghly enjoyed it. Santa Cruz is a great central location; just a short ride to San Jose, and hour drive south to Monterey and Carmel, and an hour north to San Fran. They have a boardwalk right their by the "beach train" with an amusement park with a roller coaster right at the beach. Here's a good link to get started

I don't remember seeing any classes, but I'm there as well if you find any in the early AM.

DCL isn't the best with exercise classes, I have done yoga- didn't like it and they had a spin class- not for me either. So who ever is up early can walk deck 10 with me!! I ususally do an hour before topsiders opens then Roger meets me there or I dine alone!!!

cool- usually it's just me and the crew!!! and an occasional sunrise watcher. My kids complain about all the sunrise pictures I take. they all look the same to them.

HI Heather and Joannel, thats sounds good but how early are we talking here. May join you to if not too early. Never saw a sunrise or sunset last time.

Wow MG, I guess I underestimated how wealthy you were!?
You're like our rich english gent Chris!

Two weddings this year and you've still got money sitting in your savings account just waiting for the cruise?!

Can you fund my trip so Bob and I can go?:thumbsup2

LOL, let's see...I would have to be making about 25000 cakes a year to become a millionaire...that's about 2083 cakes per month....69 cakes per day....with the average of 2 hours per cake....yeah, I don't think I will be booking the Walt Suite anytime soon :lmao: :rotfl2:
