Who'd want to go to Mexico when you can meet Bobbers instead???:scared1:

Take that Accountant hat off and put on your Bobber hat instead:goodvibes

O.K., the accountant is coming out in me.

How bad is it that I'm looking at the prices of this trip to WDW and thinking I could do a beach vacation in Mexico instead without the caos?

We've put a cap of $200/each on our airline tickets. If we do a $100 hotel, before food, car rental and whatever else, we will be at $1,200 for 5 nights. This trip will easily top $1,500-$1700.

4-5 nights in Playa del Carmen or Puerto Vallarta for that kind of $ sounds really good. And the weather will be sunny and hot for sure.

However, I REALLY want to see everyone again, especially you Karen.

Am I the only one that cant sleep til theyre itinary is planned:confused3

Its driving me crazy - I'm going round in circles and getting no-where:rolleyes:

The only thing on our itinary so far is the flight in and the flight out - theres a big fat blank in the middle:rotfl:

I'm the same way!! I was chattering on about the December trip and Woody just looks at me and says "Did you book our flight for October yet? How about the rental car? And our ADRs, ya got those too?" :headache: To which I calmly  replied "Well if I had some help they would all be done!" :duck: He said he has done his part. He gave me the credit card!

I've just been online and the hotels for one night are $359:scared1: - holy cow!

The trouble is I've heard that without fotl passes its just not worth going:confused3

I'm stumped...Neil doesnt want to do Disney lots this time..he wants to do Universal, but I dont know if we'll get anything done or even get on any rides without fotl passes?

We're both happy going to Seaworld, aquatica and wet n wild (if the weather is good) so the flexticket seems a good option, but what if its cloudy and cold like it was the 2nd time we went? We wont be doing water parks, we wont get on anything at Univ parks and we wont want to go to Seaworld every day:confused3, so the felxticket park passes will be useless:confused3

I sugeested we get Disney passes this time and Flextickets next Oct but he's determined not to do more than a couple of days at Disney (he says he's all "disneyed out":confused3 - All disneyed out???:confused3 - thats not possible is it???:confused3 - no-one can get snough of Disney, right?:confused3 - my hubbys wierd:rotfl:

So, at the moment - I have nothing planned:rolleyes:

We cant afford both Disney and flex tickets.

I'm now considering just buying a 2 day Univ pass (3rd day free) and a seaworld day pass and buying the rest on the gate depending on the weather:confused3

Is it much more than a combined ticket:confused3

Karen have you looked in passes for the Anheiser Busch parks? A 2 year platinum pass gets you 24 months of Seaworld, Aquatica, and Busch Gardens Tampa. If you activated them in December it would cover October of next year too! We plan to take a day and go down to Tampa to Busch Gardens.

What were you doing in the backseat? :rolleyes1

Why not look at one of the cross-overs? I really like the GMC Arcadia. That will be our next one when we get rid of the Bravada.

I too was wondering that but choose to be so nosey...:snooty:

How much are they? a one year one would be still valid too if they do those?

Ok, now my head is spinning and asking what are the crowds like at Busch Gardens:lmao: :confused3

Why do you think I followed Jeff and family round the ship the whole time:lmao: - if it wasnt for Jeff I'd probably still be in the terminal:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Karen have you checked out allearsnet.com yet? They have a lot of info. It is not current-last years stuff- but you can get an idea of what is going on around Disney at that time of year.

Ooohhh....hey, I like the sound of a Mexico DISmeet!

We went to Playa del Carmen in 2001 and it was a great trip. My MIL and FIL have been several times - they wanted the whole family to go in 2009, but we sort of messed things up! :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Of course, that was my thought on booking for '09...why go to Mexico when we could cruise?!?!?!

Don't feel too bad - I'm still trying to coordinate this weekend's trip with my in-laws! :scared1:

I love my in-laws, but we don't think the same way when it comes to planning things (what I see as easy, they think is complicated and vice versa). In a way, I'm glad we didn't have to choose a week/itinerary for the cruise, we'd probably still be debating! But, since the KKers/BOBers are all on this cruise, this is where we wanted to be!:cool1: Plus, the 2 days off from school for DS due to teachers' convention helps! :goodvibes

Change your plans and go to Mexico with us instead. :thumbsup2

Unfortunately, I not only provide the credit card, but I also have to do all the planning. If Suz did it, we'd pay double for the trip. She just goes and books it. I shop it around. My motto (and everyone in my office know it) is "it's all about the deal".

Sometimes the deal is better than the vacation and you just go because it was so cheap. Kinda like Suz having to buy something we don't need because it was on sale and she had a coupon.
