how many more days of school tayna?
our d. inlaw is a teacher and she's counting down the days.

$6/hour aint bad for babysitting.

Adds up though when you want to have a few nights out.

Don't they limit you on the number of times or hours you can sign up for? Or is the limit only on pre-registration?

You are limited to 10 hours before you get on the ship and then depending how many kids they have and how booked up they are you can add additional hours. We added 4 extra hours when we boarded and they said if we wanted more than that we would have to be waitlisted.

We picked her up early on two nights (but they still charged us the min 2 hours) and then on Friday night we called them at dinner time and asked them if they had room for her so we could watch the farewell show and they said no problem. They did a great job, I didn't mind paying the $6 per hour :goodvibes

Night all, off to watch some reality tv :woohoo:

Sixteen. However, many of those are field trips, award days, move up days etc. School should really end this Fri. with the last day of testing!:goodvibes

I just talked to Tanya, so just put us for 1 room 5 people. If they won't allow 5 people in a room would someone with less than that mind if we put Harrison in your room?:rotfl2: :rotfl2: At least just on paper? Or maybe Scott can stay with Nancy and Chuck since he is going to be your date on the cruise.:rotfl:

Let me make a correction - I forgot that I will have dad with me --he stays on the cruise with Lori!:rotfl:

5 people, one room (We'll probably request a cot when we reserve.)

Lori and Tanya I'll add you guys to the list

What happens if I decide next year that I want a Radisson room? Basically we have to wait and see about my husband's time off as well as when we can get the best airfare before we figure out exactly what we're doing pre-cruise.

Melody how about I put you on the "maybe" list and you'll have up to 6 weeks before the cruise to get it all figured out and get them your deposit. You would want 1 room?

Mike & Robin (2 people, 1 room)
Jeff (3 people, 1 room)
Cass (6 people, 2 rooms)
Nancy (2 people, 1 room)
Tony & Stacy, Jesse & Kristin (4 people, 1 room)
Andy (3 people, 1 room)
Andy's mom (2 people, 1 room)
Joanne (2 people, 1 room)
Cheryl (4 people, 1 room)
Shelley (2 people, 1 room)
Chris & Lynn (2 people, 1 room)
Walt & Di (2people, 1 room)
Sean & Cath (3 people, 1 room)
Lori & Scott (5 people, 1 room)
Tanya & Philip (5 people, 1 room)

"Maybe" want a room at the Radisson

Rob & Paige (2 people, 1 room)
Dave & Giap (2 people, 1 room)
Karen & Neil (3 people, 1 room)
Melody (2 adults, 2 children 1 room)

Morning Cheryl, 3.12am :scared1:

:scared1: :scared1: That's worse than me last night, I think I logged off here at 1:30am. It's 9:15pm here and Rachel isn't home from school yet, she had a field trip to Chicago today and they're on their way home, she will probably be calling any minute for me to come pick her up

Make sure you do both sides of dueling dragons. Also get there when the park opens it get very crowded later in the day.

Voucher is a waste of time. No good discounts are on it.

We went one Christmas, very crowded. The decorations were only in Suesland and the who's were there singing around the tree. But we only did Islands of Adventure that year.

Joanne keep those Universal tips coming!

Just a question out of left field. Has anyone ever heard of a "sot" before? I am just wondering if it a cajunism.

That's a long cruise if I'm not mistaken from LA. If it were Hawaii only, they'd need to leave the US or be subject to US Wage Laws.

What resort are they building?

A new DVC in Hawaii, scheduled to open in 2011!!! :thumbsup2

Here's the info from the DVC website:

PRESS RELEASE

Disney to build Hawaii resort

Luxury family resort planned for Ko Olina Resort & Marina on the island of Oahu.

BURBANK, Calif., October 3, 2007 - Walt Disney Parks & Resorts has announced that the company has finalized plans to purchase 21 acres of oceanfront property on Hawaii's island of Oahu.

The property, located on the island's western side in the picturesque Ko Olina Resort & Marina, Honolulu's premier resort destination, will be home to Disney's first mixed-use family resort outside of its theme park developments. The expansive resort, scheduled to open in 2011, is planned to have more than 800 units, including hotel rooms and Disney Vacation Club villas.*

"This resort hotel will give our Guests another way to visit an exciting part of the world with a brand they trust," said Jay Rasulo, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts. "In fact, Hawaii has been among our most requested Disney Vacation Club getaway locations beyond our Theme Parks. We are looking forward to building a special family resort that honors the cultural diversity of Hawaii and reflects the spirit of aloha that makes this location so unique."

Consistently ranked as one of the top family destinations in the world, Hawaii's natural beauty and extensive offering of family activities make it an ideal location for a Disney resort.

"Disney and Hawaii have something special in common, and that is the recognition of the importance of 'ohana," said Hawaii Governor Linda Lingle. "Not only does Disney provide wonderful family vacations, but as a media company, it also touches people worldwide with its entertainment offerings. The new Disney hotel will be a great addition to Oahu, and I am pleased to welcome a company that can also bring the world of new media and digital technology to Hawaii, opening new opportunities for innovative partnerships in non-tourism related sectors."

Ko Olina

The new resort hotel will be the latest addition to the Ko Olina development, known for its sweeping ocean views, picture-postcard white sand beaches and tranquil crystal blue lagoons.

Jeff Stone, President of The Resort Group and master developer of Ko Olina, has been working closely with Disney on the land acquisition and project.

"Ko Olina means 'place of joy,' and I can't imagine a more perfect fit here than a Disney resort that will bring joy to people from around the world," Stone said. "For many years, it has been our vision to continue to expand Ko Olina as a premier vacation destination for families and business travelers, and this new Disney resort hotel is making that vision a wonderful reality."

*This resort is not yet registered or offered for sale.
