"THE QUICKEST WAY TO VILLE PLATTE"


Some of you may not know where Ville Platte is, but it is in South Louisiana.



A man approached Boudreaux when he was visiting in Mamou. "Excuse me, sir, Can you tell me the quickest way to get to Ville Platte?"



Boudreaux scratched his head, "Are you walkin' or drivin'?" he asked the stranger.



"I'm driving."



"Dat's the quickest way!"

I'm not disciplined enough for the core Jen.

I'm not most of the time, but if I'm really organized, I can do it for a week or 2. It has to be a week when nothing else is going on (no going out of town,special occasions, etc.) but when I can do it, it's worth it.

Hey Paige, Can we at least share your friends? One from WI and one from VA? I think we lost a few Wisconsinites. CarrianneB and all5ofus have been MIA since the first BOBer thread.

An open air taxi bus on St. Thomas

Andy, when we were in St Thomas we took the open air taxi too. There was an accident on the road ahead of us on the way back to the ship. He took a detour and went through what appeared to be a really rough neighborhood. Cars were stripped and we saw one happening as we drove by.

They were the craziest drivers we ever saw. I'd safely say that our taxi hit, bumped, scraped, and sideswiped other taxis at least 6 times during our tour. The drivers just smiled at each other and gave a high five sign. it was hilarious!! Yeah hilarious AFTER I cleaned my pants out after the first run in.
