10/24/2009 - Bash on the Boat (I'm with B.O.B.) - Thread #4

Hi all!

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter!

Jay and I are tied up for the rest of the day with a wedding and then we're having a brunch here at the house tomorrow ...

Also, if everyone could spare an extra good thought for the many, many people in this area being impacted by flooding it would be much appreciated. Jay and I are fortunate enough to live outside of the flood zone (we're about 18 miles from the Missouri River ... if we flood you'd all better find an ark) but we know many people who aren't as lucky. Those areas in South St. Louis County are some of my old stomping grounds and I have a lot of friends and some family who are anxiously waiting to see just how high the water is going to get.

The scary part is that this isn't even Spring flooding - we just had a storm that started Monday night and didn't stop unitl Wednesday and it did nothing but rain the entire time. We had six inches in our rain gauge after 24 hours.

Anyway, thanks again for sending some good thoughts to the soggy armpit of the Midwest. Have a great day tomorrow and eat lots of chocolate!

During our May 2006 cruise, our server gave us a copy of the last night's menu "Till We Meet Again" while Hazel and I were at AC Moore this morning I picked up a frame for it. Our server and assistant server signed and dated the back of the menu and I have that saved elsewhere.

We have a baby!!!!! She was born on 3/21 at 9:37 am. 6lb 4.5oz 20". She is so beautiful!!! Her name is Virginia Ellen and we will call her Vivi. My cousin is doing fine. They are at home now resting. There 21 mnth old doesn't seem to know what to do. She starts to cry and he gets upset. It's so sweet.

We have a baby!!!!! She was born on 3/21 at 9:37 am. 6lb 4.5oz 20". She is so beautiful!!! Her name is Virginia Ellen and we will call her Vivi. My cousin is doing fine. They are at home now resting. There 21 mnth old doesn't seem to know what to do. She starts to cry and he gets upset. It's so sweet.

Getting ready to go out for the evening, our church is doing a musical production for Easter, they have two shows today 2:30pm and 6:30pm and three tomorrow 8:30am 10:30am 12:30pm. Hazel and I decided to go to the 6:30pm show tonight. Have to leave here by 5:30 so we can get there early and get a good seat.

Our church holds about 1,000 people per service, last night at the Good Friday service about 1400 people showed up, good thing there was a live feed to the all purpose room for the late comers.

Vaughn is my love. He has been the center of our world since he was born. We are interested to see how things progress. He doesn't do well when my cousin or his wife hold another baby. They got him a "baby sister" doll to start getting him used to them holding another baby and it works sometimes. But he lets you know when it's enough.
