Hi,

wow I found this late. I (24yrs) will be cruising with my mum and her partner Geoff. This is my 4th cruise and I will be celebrating graduating from Norland College in Bath (England) and am now a fully qualified Norland Nanny!
We got a letter from DCL saying that they would be Halloween celebrations on the cruise - so on the night they do it look out for a girl wearing a tutu and pointe shoes.

My hubby Rick and I are from the UK and travelling over next week to join everyone. If you can stand a load of strangers, pop up and say hello at 3pm on Saturday 24th. We'd love to meet you all.

Have a safe trip, Bobers traveling tomorrow. I won't be on much in the next day or so. Today I have a date with my fridge and stove--double date I guess. Then Homecoming festivities tonight--in the rain.Tomorrow is a swim meet, and Sunday is a special mass for my CCD class, followed by Halloween decorations to put up around the house.

Just had the evening from hell.

I heard a loud bang and yelp from the lounge. Run downstairs to find Ellis coming out of the lounge holding his head

Part of the ceiling light fitting has just exploded sending shards of glass everywhere and it had cut the power off to all the lights so now we're in total darkness.

Ellis' head isnt cut luckily but bits did land on him and it shook him up.

I got the lights back on by torchlight in the garage, but cant use the lounge light so we sat there in semi darkness with just the one little lamp on. I picked up what glass I could see, only to find a blob of something stuck and melted onto the cream carpet - looks like glass or metal or something

I go to turn the gas fire on and that just turns itself off after about 30 seconds and now wont come back on - what the heck is going on????

Neils miles away working and not due home til gone midnight.

I'm going to bed before something else breaks.

One of the bosses in Dallas asked me yesterday when I would be finished with all the reconciliations. I said Next Thursday at 2pm!!!!!!

Well we have our new Baxie Natural Gas Furnace installed and up and running. It's great
As you can see it not that big 17 inches wide and 30 inches tall.
Its what they call an on demand hot water. No tanks

So, yesterday I was helping run a polling station for a small by-election. Started at 6am and finished at 10pm. No internet access and I see I came in for a lot of teasing...not fair as I couldn't defend myself.

And this morning...I've had to catch up with work, so no time for DISing.

Anyway...this weekend I have hairdressers, quiz night (plus fish and chips) and then Sunday we're popping over to see Bev, Dave and the kids for a birthday celebration. It's Dave's birthday. Sometime I also have to finish packing and do loads of housework. Good job I'm not doing grocery shopping.
