I wonder how long we will be on hold!!!

I'm calling right at 7:00 a.m. my time on the 21st. Still have to figure out which cruise we want to go on though. Do we do the new Dream, the Wonder LA to Vancover, or something totally else.

The PC Repo won't work because of school. DW doesn't want to do Alaska unless we can get to Denali.

I won't touch the Mexican Riviera, especially in Winter.

If we do the Med, we'd go on another line and get a balcony for the price of a window on DCL. Or use the savings to cover part of the high airfare. BTW, still can't believe they are going back yet again when they can't sell out next year's sailings.

I have a week to talk to DW and see what we will do.

Hey Becky, what is northern CA (SF specifically) like in late April, early May? I kind of fancy the LA-Vancouver repo.

The good thing is we have a "phantom" booking we can move to one of these. :thumbsup2

Which stops will the ship make on the Vancouver/LA repo cruise? I imagine Seattle may be one but I am not sure about any other stops... Oregon maybe?

It depends which one you are going on.

LA-Vancouver is 6 nights:

Wednesday Los Angeles, California 4:00 p.m.
Thursday At Sea
Friday San Francisco, California 7:30 a.m. —
Saturday San Francisco, California — 3:00 p.m.
Sunday At Sea
Monday Victoria, Canada 11:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday Vancouver, Canada 8:00 a.m.

Vancouver to LA is 5 nights:

Tuesday Vancouver, Canada 3:00 p.m.
Wednesday Victoria, Canada 7:15 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Thursday At Sea
Friday At Sea
Saturday Ensenada, Mexico 12:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Sunday Los Angeles, California 9:30 a.m.

The LA to Vancouver leaves the Wednesday of Easter Week 2011, so DS would only miss 2 days of school (3 if we stay in Vancouver over night).

I also like the overnight in SF on the northbound. That would be cool.

Transcon airfares scare me. I might be open one day to take a 7 day cruise out of LA, but I think the airfares would be high. Maybe with some shopping around, I could score decent airfare.

Although, what is the ocean temperature in Baja and the areas that the Wonder will be sailing??

WE TWO ALSO. Nancy is getting reveed up now.
I was thinking you know if we get sox game onboard you know where to find Roger and me.

On the last cruise I watched the world series red sox and indians. It was fun. running back and forth from diversions to rockin bar d.

What time of year? Cabo can be cool for high temps in Jan and Feb. So can PV which would be the southern most port it goes to. It all depends on what you want for highs. If we go tropical, we like mid-80's or above. There will be many days in the mid-70's in January.

I don't expect the LA-Vancouver run to be warm. I just think it would be a fun cruise.

Average high for Vancouver when we'd get off the ship would only be 59*.

(wait, maybe I should rethink this now and do a 5-night on the Dream)

Oh, I meant to say "Free" upgrade. Yeah but....:lmao:

Dust stuff for you and your upgrade Steve. pixiedust:

OK, can MG brag a little here? I just got off the phone with Kristin (DD who lives in AZ just in case some of you don't know) and she has been selected to be a therapist in the Ford Ironman Triathlon in Arizona on November 22nd this year. (It's also their first wedding anniversary) That's pretty darn good for someone who is still a first semester student. She was picked along with someone else from Phoenix. Only two students were chosen from the entire state!!! :woohoo: She won't be working with any of the top athletes though because they all bring along their own therapists.

Also, I'm thinking Jesse (Kristin's DH) may actually be participating in the triathlon too. Not sure, but when I asked Kristin, she just laughed and said "You never know mom". :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: That sounds like a yes to me!

Gosh...am I ever proud of those kids! :yay:

Sorry kids, just had to brag a bit. Carry on.

Brag on. I brag about my kids and grandkids all the time. Asiah cheered for three games. She did great. Elijah's football team won 35-0. He played excellent even with all the mud. I dont know why he loves it. he is all bruised up. He has a right badly sprained bruised fore arm and he still played. He is a trooper. Oh yeh, He also tried out for his spot in his orchestra. he is first chair violin. He was so proud of himself. he told me today if he does not get in to the NFL he will be a violinist. Isnt he funny. Now i am all done bragging for tonite.

I was super excited about the Alaska cruise... that would be saweeet!

Yeah, it's late.

I've still got cruise stuff on my brain so I am staying up for a bit :thumbsup2

I haven't tried to lay down yet. I may go watch a bit of TV, but I can tell I won't make it more than 30 minutes from this point.
