Cool pic, Cass. It actually made Emily come over to the computer. Can you believe she has the nerve to be mad at us for grounding her? She broke curfew last night, came home really late when she was supposed to be spending the night at a friend's house, left there and went to her boyfriend's house (parents were home) instead of coming home. I freaked out when Moose woke me up out of a dead sleep when she got home.

Grounded til October.

WOW! That's scary!!! :scared1: Maybe Kira will just skip over the teen years :rolleyes1 :lmao:

yep, they are. But it's about a $200 difference to DCL!

The balcony is slightly larger on deck 6 than it is on deck 5 :thumbsup2

So how does a cat 5 improve his chances to be a cat 4?

Actually, I don't think Beth would let me switch the cabin. We booked the same cabin that we had on our first cruise in the Med. We only have two cruise under our belt. One on the Magic and one on the Wonder. The kids want to book the same room on each ship whenever we go back. That way it is like have a floating home away from home they say. We can just wonder who is staying in "our" cabin while we are away.

Matthew

Matthew,

I think that your chances of being upgraded are decent. (better than mine was in cat 9) There still seems to be a lot of Cat 4 rooms available. My guess is that Disney will be hard pressed to get many people to pay even $350 to upgrade from either a 5 or a 6 to a 4. There just isn't that much benefit to it. They'll have to give those rooms away as free upgrades, or just wait until port days and sell them for a song to those in Inside or oceanview cats that want upgrades. Problem for you is that there are a lot more cat 5 and 6 rooms than cat 4 rooms and odds play against you. My guess is that through some sort of lottery those cabins will go to Cat 5 cruisers and that will open up Cat 5 rooms. Since I am a Cat 6 guarantee I should have a shot at those cat 5 rooms opening up for a free upgrade (yes, I know that it isn't much but they gty me 6 or better!)

Tough Love....:flower3:

OK, I have just looked over the new cruise itineraries. I'm sure that everyone has already been discussing them, but I can't keep up. There have been 50 pages since I last logged on.

Who is up for Alaska in 2011? :thumbsup2

Matthew

I am Matthew!!:thumbsup2

Hi Matthew :wave2:

DH - (always full of surprises) was totally STOKED to hear that DCL will offer an Alaskan cruise... :confused3 so we may be looking into this one. :):rolleyes1

Us too, wanted to do the repo, but January is not a good time if we go to Germany for Christmas,

I am thinking late July!!! I wonder if they will do the cruise tours, I guess we can do Danali on our own.

I can't get my friends to change their plans in 2011 so no alaska for me unless I'm willing to ditch them. I may go in 2012 or 2013 though.

Woohoo! lots of interest in Alaska. Beth and I were going to try an Alaska cruise for our 20th Anniversary 2 1/2 months ago. In the end, we decided that two cruises so close together was too much. (and too expensive)

I am excited that Disney will be going there now.

Our next big vacation will be WDW in either 2011 or 2012. I want to go for at least a week and just really enjoy ourselves.

Alaska doesn't really interest me. I like warm weather cruises which is why I probably would never consider a cruise out of New York despite have little or no transportation cost. I may do it someday, who knows.

I wonder when they will post prices??

The cruises are available for booking on Sept 28th. I figured that is when the pricing will be published. Of course, I am guessing, have they published pricing prior to booking availability in the past? :confused3

Early booking is available as of Sept 21, so it should hopefully be ready before next weekend.

You would not be able to get to Denali with DCL's itinerary. You need to get to Anchorage (Whittier) to catch the train. Usually a one way cruise gets you there.
