I'm posting so no one thinks I've deserted the BOBers..

I've been lurking around the resort boards looking for info on the Dolphin since we're staying there pre-cruise. It's only for one night, so I think we'll just hang out at the Boardwalk and eat, etc... DCL is doing all of our transfers so I'm trying to find activities pre & post so no one is bored at ANY moment!! :)

I wish I'd had a little more research time before I booked everything the way I did. I would have done things a little differently.. but hey- plan, read and learn right?? We're booked -- so it's all good! :thumbsup2

Did you give any thought to a Limo for the 5 of you?,we've used the Dolphin transfer before but find by using a private limo service from there instead we got to choose what time we arrived at the port (coach had us there for about 12.30pm,by that time Jeff had much of the buffet eaten...:rolleyes1),weather we wanted to stop for anything AND it was cheaper :scared1: Yes cheaper....We got a brand new stretched hummer the kids had a sofa each to relax on while the other two popped a bottle, fun was had by all.....:rotfl2:

A 34yo man fell overboard from a Carnival Sensation cruise ship and was rescued an hour later by the Disney Wonder!

Good morning, everyone! Any good plans for the weekend? We're just taking in some football.. Alex has his first game on Saturday morning, and LSU plays late Saturday night! Quantico high plays tonight, but the game is 4.5 hours away, so we're not making the trip!:scared1: Emily has her first XC meet tomorrow too--also far away.

We are off to the beach, hope the weather cooperates. DS # 2 is coming home from college also. Will be nice to see him.

Hope every one has a nice week end, have to get work finished by 11 so i can pack and get out of here!!

Now THAT sounds like a great idea! Plus the earlier port arrival would be a plus.. I'm hoping to score a Palo res...

Good morning everyone!! HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

For us in the US - it's a 3 day weekend and boy do I need it after this crazy week!!!

Hi Joanne, Angela, Dan/Nancy (and anyone else I missed who may still be on...)

Good morning everyone. Thank God it's Friday, and a holiday weekend to boot! We are just relaxing, nothing really planned, but who knows, we may go somewhere local tomorrow.

Wow - your bit of beach looks busier than our bit! - we had a big stretch almost to ourselves - cant post piccies *** they all disappeared off my photobucket account:rolleyes: - maybe Jeff has one?

Never even saw the sign:confused3:rotfl: - I was too busy looking for pirates probably - me likey pirates:rotfl: - Jeff - post my pirate piccie:lovestruc

I see a free window:yay: - I've got one of those:yay::yay:, (but I dont have a cupboardy thing:snooty:
We bought that "beach break" through RCCL. It took us to that hotel for the beach break. They had areas of the beach roped off for the various cruise lines. It was busy! Last time with DCL, we got off the ship and went to a cabbie who was holding up a sign that said, "Beach". He asked if we wanted to go to the Beach Club Colony or Courtyard Marriott. I had already been to the Beach Club Colony, so I said, "lets go to the Marriott."

The Marriott was more secluded and was on the north side of 7 Mile Beach at area called Sea Grape. I will sift through my picture and try to find one of us there.

Here is a picture of it looking south as a Thunderstorm rolls through Georgetown. This is Sea Grape Beach at the Courtyard Marriott.

As you can see, we pretty much had the beach to ourselves. There was another group of about 8 there. It was funny, they had to be landlocked. They saw a tiny jellyfish and were squealing, or is it screeching? :lmao: Samantha, grabs her bucket, scoops it out of the water and dumps the jellyfish in the sand.

Oh no...not cruise related I here you all say....

If, by any chance the 'H' does cause us to change course and our Eastern becomes a Western....what excursions would you consider doing?

I have not even thought about that. :scared1: There is a bar in Cozmel that we would like to go back too and shopping. I have never been to Key West so I am not sure.

I'm not so worried about the "H" at the end of October - so we aren't making any contengency plans... The POWER of positive thinking!

I think he was a jumper. Although, he must not have been too serious about it as there was probably witnessess (if not they wouldn't have even known he jumped for quite a while.) And he stayed put and treaded water while the rescue was underway.

Now THAT sounds like a great idea! Plus the earlier port arrival would be a plus.. I'm hoping to score a Palo res...

Amen to that!
