Well, I have been watching DCL and St. Maarten videos on YouTube. (The anticipation grows...) We went ahead and hired a town car to bring us from WDW to the Port. It was actually cheaper for the four of us than using the Disney Bus. I also remember from our quick getaway last month that the check in line at the airport was a mad house. Mostly because it was a sail day. Most of the people where checking in to go to the ship. We got in a very short line to go to Saratoga Springs. :)

Just another reminder that if you are flying in on the sail date, allow lots of extra time in your schedule every step of the way. :rolleyes1

Matthew :yay:
We should arrive at MCO around 9:30 or so; I hope it won't be too bad. Might have to get Angry Steve to make the line move faster! :lmao:

Milwaukee area.

Tomahawk is way up in the North Woods.

Yep; last winter, Heather was talking to Joe (the guy she mect in October) & she was complaining about how cold it was. It was about 45 or so on that day, and he said that they were around 28 or so. Might be different numbers (fuzzy memory) but Heather was shocked by how cold it was up there! I tried to explain to her that he was pretty far up there! She said that was too cold for her.

You are arriving pretty early though. I would hope that the line isn't too long at 9:30.

I hope so, I need a vacation bad. We are going away this weekend but only to Panama City beach and then a quick week end to WDW in Sept, but I am so looking forward to this cruise!!

I hear ya. It has been so cold (well, cooler than normal), a weekend in FL would be good right about now. Should have planned earlier, DS has a 4-day weekend this weekend.

I think that I'm going to have to work on my poem soon. At my current rate of posting lately I'll reach 3000 posts long before our cruise. Currently I only need 5/day to do it.

Thomas is starting 1st grade....he was diagnosed at the end of last year so we didn't put a lot of accommodations in place for him. So far we're not doing meds - we want to see how school goes with just the behavior modification stuff we're doing plus some classroom accommodations. I want to make sure he enjoys school - I think it's so important.

Good luck with middle school - I've read a lot about ADHD so far, and a little about Asperger's, and it's an extra parenting challenge to be sure. Does your DD have an IEP or 504 plan? We are going to request an IEP evaluation this fall.

I will post pics tonight - I'm at work right now... ;)

We aren't doing an IEP or 504 YET.... she got through 6 years of elementary school with no problems - just some social and focus issues (She's going into all honors classes for 6th grade and has bordered on gifted - but never QUITE got there...) We are walking that fine line with her starting Middle School - she's already going to feel so "out of place" I didn't want to get her officially labeled (with the 504 or IEP) and make her feel worse.

She meets with a counselor about once a month to help her with the Aspergers (since there isn't a pill to fix that - she has to learn how to read these social cues and stuff) and she suggested some accomodations, but I'm going to talk to each of her teachers and the first week of school and see if they can do some things and not have it in her record. If she starts struggling the first couple weeks, we will do an IEP for her.

We always knew Abby was "off" ... her Kindergarten and 1st grade teachers BOTh told us that she "marches to the beat of her own drum" and it's completely true. She started taking Vyvanse at the end of the school year (last 2 weeks) and her teacher told me it made a REMARKABLE difference in her fidgeting/restlessness... and the side effects have not been bad for her at all (she's on the smallest starting dosage).

Ok - better stop chatting about my kid and her "quirks". It doesn't help that my other DD is the OPPOSITE of her - super social, loves people, etc (probably has some of the H in ADHD.... but not enough to get her tested!!)

Can't wait to see the pics! Love 1st day of school pics!

Steve - the fact that you have figured out how many per day that you will need to post worries me tremendously!!! Aren't you a nurse? Aren't you impersonating an accountant?? (and honestly, aren't there enough accountants on this board already!?!?!?:confused3)

:lmao::rolleyes1

Does this mean I get to play nurse? :banana:

:rotfl2:

9:30 is a good time. We got there around 11:15 and the line was halfway down the concourse. I'm sure Disney is used to handling that though. If time permits, it's less stressful to arrive a day early. I'm prepared to hop in the car if I have to just in case something happens to our flight. :laughing:

Work is going to be hard the next 6 weeks or so. Although, for me things are broken up a bit. I have a few ballgames to go to, I have a wedding in Ohio to officiate at about the halfway mark at the end of September.

It should fly right by!

Sorry work is going to be hard for the next few weeks - but just think of how much MORE you will appreciate the break and sitting up on deck drinking smoothies!! :woohoo:

I should rephrase...

Motivation is hard the next 6 weeks! :lmao:

I'll bring my milkshake to the smoothie party! :goodvibes

HUGS JOANNE!!:hug::hug::hug::hug:

I know you have had it really rough the past few months at work too - you will enjoy this cruise 100 times more!!

I'm doing this whole cruise thing backwrards.... work is really slow right now (and has been for past 6 months) but when I come back.... I won't see the light of day for 11 months!! (New software implementation project!) I'll have to schedule my next cruise for after that!!:banana:

2 weeks after the cruise I start my busiest time of the year as well.

I'm fed up today:sad2:

No particular reason, just feeling low.:sad2:

Me no likey Autumn or winter, or rain, or cold.:rolleyes:

Roll on cruising:cool1: - I'm in need of some sunshine.
:hug::love::beach:pixiedust::sunny::butterfly
:flower::flower1:

:sunny::sunny::sunny::sunny::sunny::sunny::sunny:

Sorry you are down in the dumps. Just hang out with us for a while and your spirits will be lifted!!

Time is flying by! There are only 7 weeks until we cruise:cool1:, and we have 2 horse shows & a ton of lessons before then, so I don't think we'll have a chance to do shirts. Teresa might surprise me; but I don't think so, as I am the creative/craft person.pirate: And, we have never decorated our door, or had a FE either. We might e-bay a FE, I don't know. Time is getting too close to start any major projects like this. :rolleyes1 We might just settle for some buttons & being on the boat!

Can you tell I'm trying to pad my message count by NOT multi-quoting??? :rotfl::lmao:

I'm going to be working on our tshirts this weekend. I really need to get them done so it's one less thing to do!

I ordered some of the Iron on Transfers from a DiSigner who everyone raves about... I'll let you know how they work! We are just doing t-shirts the first day of the cruise - so everyone can see us at the port!!:banana:
