3. I dunno. have you left the slider on for over 24 hours? maybe it has to slide forward in order to set itself (just guessing since I've no idea how it's coded)

Slider's not moving. Don't care, but I kinda do. I'm still going on the boat no matter WHAT the slider says! :rotfl:

Good morning everyone!!!

After having such a long few days, Elaine and I are taking the day off. It will be nice to be at home too, since the kids start school on Wednesday. Tonight, they have an open house at their school where they can go and meet their teachers. We always go to that. Jay will be having Sam's "old" teacher that she had for 2nd and 3rd grade. They are both in intergrated day programs where they combine 2nd and 3rd, 4th and 5th in one class. Sam had the same teacher and was in the same class room for two years. This poor teacher will have one of my kids for four consecutive years!! :lmao: Just kidding, for some reason, they are angels at school. Go figure!

I got another app for my BlackBerry last night. It is called WDW maps. It has maps for all 4 major parks at WDW and uses your GPS to assist you find restrooms, attractions and more. You can make a wishlist and it will map it all out for you. I know my way around the parks, so it will just be a toy for me at MNSSHP.

Oooh - thanks for sharing - I will have to see if they have one for the iPhone. Sounds cool!

You're just now starting school up there?!?! Wow, our first day was July 31, and Teresa had to go on the 27th to get her classroom ready. Absolutely crazy!

Chaz - we don't start school here in central Virginia until September 8th!!!! :scared1: We have a lot of tourism sites (Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens, Colonial Williamsburg) that employees lots of teens and they need their child labor until after labor day. Arghghg - very frustrating since we are in school until middle of June!

Anyone else had experiences where you are sure you've seen someone before in a movie but can't place their name?

Yep - ALL the time. Wonderful website out there called www.imdb.com - it's a LIFESAVER!!

Hi all - I am not much of a poster but we will be joining y'all for this cruise and are so excited!

Speaking of distag, we found some awesome items - we happened to run across a disney warehouse sale! Even DH was getting excited. What we are thinking of doing is make gift bags by cabin, with extra goodies in there for the cabins with many players. Is that going to be OK? We could not get 92 of everything ; )

Its one bag per cabin no matter who is in there. Its totally up to you what you put inside. :thumbsup2

Good to see you on here:goodvibes

Where were my breadcrums people????

Now I've gotta go back and catch up.

Back later.

Me too,.... I didnt get crumbs either:sad1:.... that horrible Jeff told everyone not to "crumb" me:sad1::snooty:... me no likey Jeff no more:snooty::goodvibes

Well, as you can tell I'm back from York. Had a lovely time, took a few photos - I'll post them tomorrow:thumbsup2 It didn't rain once:yay: I walked my little legs off (hopefully that will counteract some of the meals we ate:rolleyes1)

Later peeps:goodvibes

:teacher: Teresa's first day way July 24; kids reported July 30. They'll be there until May 27; Teresa has to go until June 2! Then, she goes back July 23, with the kids on July 29. She only gets 7 weeks of summer vacation! :scared1:

Hey everyone...I ran to the store this morning to pick up the kids school uniforms. Even though they go to public school, this year our school district has decided to start school uniforms for all elementary schools. Next year middle schools will follow.
Slider's not moving. Don't care, but I kinda do. I'm still going on the boat no matter WHAT the slider says! :rotfl:
Chaz, thats the same slider I have and it is based on weeks. It will move closer probably next week.

Oh, and while I was out I had an impulse to stop at Borders to pick up the DCL Passporter, but they didn't have it in stock!:scared1: I was disappointed, but will probably just order it in a few day.

Just dropping in to say "hello". Now that school has started I cannot dis as much. Bummer...just when we are getting so close to the big day :)

Try to get on tonight...Happy Monday.

Question for the men (or the women who pack for their men:rotfl:)- how many pairs of trousers do you take for palo, palo lunch, formal and semi formal? Neil will change as soon as dinner is over, so I dont want to overpack stuff he wont have on for more than a couple of hours.:confused3 (I'd rather keep the room for my stuff!;):rotfl:)

Also, shoes - what a pain is that! - last time we took some he no longer wnated and left them at the end of the cruise. This time he wants to bring them home as he still like them:rolleyes: - they take up sooooo much space. I can get 4 pairs of mine into the space his one pair take up.

Shirts and ties - I'm taking 3 shirts and 2 ties and he can rotate and mix and match - that'll be enough right for the 4 occassions?:confused3

The rest of his clothes will be laundered at the villa so we dont need to take enough for 14 days this time.:thumbsup2

We've never been to Palo for either lunch or dinner; but I'll take two suits (one for formal nite & one for semi-formal), but I'll take 4 or 5 dress shirts and 7 ties (I wear a tie & dress up every night, but I'm weird). I only use 1 pair of dress shoes, plus sneakers & flop flops.

We have always overpacked, but will have luggage alllowances this time around. As far as shoes, I will pack my sneakers, flip flops and dress shoes.

Anyone seen Race to Witch Mountain? The remake of Escape to WM?

Yep, remake.

We're watching it now and the two leads from the original have cameo's in the remake.

Cool. I've got to see it now. I had a crush on the girl that did the original. I think her name was Daphne in the original and if I remember correctly her real name was Kim.

Anyone else had experiences where you are sure you've seen someone before in a movie but can't place their name?

Yep,that's what IMDB.com is for:rotfl2:

That's the spirit!

Yes, they do. Runs $.99 per map. Do a search for "Disney."

There you go. I assumed the coding advanced on a daily basis, but weekly makes sense.

funny our boarders was out of it too. I got it at another bookstore. Perused it a couple of times. I really wanted to know if there was anything that I should do for St. Maarten that wasn't listed by Disney, but there wasn't. In fact the author state he owns a vacation home on St. Maarten and says that the traffic there is really bad with frequent slow downs. I took it as meaning "if you're doing anything on your own... make sure you allow a LOT of travel time." Point taken. I'm just going to the beach near the ship and build sand castles. Maybe window shop if the area is not too overrun with hawkers (I HATE that!)

I'll have my black dress pants (formal) and khaki dockers (semi formal, I can really dress them up!) I gunning for about 3 pairs of shorts.

For Shirts: A couple of t-shirts when I'm just goofing off. And I have a whole selection of "Hawaiian" style shirts that I plan on taking.

Shoes: Last time I packed like a girl. Too many shoes. I won't do that again. Here's what I packed last time: Black dress shoes, Brown Dress shoes (for pirate night, they helped with the costume), tennis shoes (turned out after the flight to Orlando they were way too small for me and my feet were KILLING ME! never wore them again), and sandals. This time I'm taking my Black dress shoes (I'll make them work with the Dockers) and Sandals. No brown shoes and NO tennis shoes! I'll only be packing the dress shoes (unless they take too much room then I'll wear the dress shoes on the plane and pack the sandals.)

'nuff said?

Yep, we're packing as little as possible. I'll be doing some late night laundry! I'd like to get everything into 3 peices. That will leave us a 1 peice of checked luggage buffer for bringing stuff home.

I hear the airlines have raised the luggage prices again! Delta is charging $20 for the first peice and $30 for the second. Continental (the one we're taking) is charging the same. Luckily, since my ticket was bought before the changes went into effect, I'll pay the lower amount.

For any of you that are affected by the price increases, I know that Delta is allowing passengers to pre-pay for their luggage and if pre-paid you would not be subject to the extra $5 surcharge.

I know what you mean about the hawkers - Teresa called them 'land sharks' cause they would circle around every few minutes & ask you the same questions over and over! :headache: Oh well, we're still gonna have fun on this trip! pirate:

Our Borders didn't have hardly any books period on cruising! I did flip through the WDW Passporter and read up on Port Orleans Riverside.

We are going to the beach near the ship in St. Maarten too. My dad suggested it. This will be their 3rd Eastern and he always just goes to that beach. He thinks its called Great Bay. We are going to rent jet skis while we are there as well.

All the time and not just in movies. I can bearly remember what my name is most of the time. :lmao:

My kids were in uniforms all through school. All but a few schools here are in uniform. I loves it so did the kids as they got older. I think it does make a difference. Each year in July the high scholl that the kids went to would have a uniform exchange so you could get the next size uniform shirts at a much cheaper price.
