I grew up on Air Force bases all over the country and world. When we lived in the Philippines, my best friend had always lived there (her mom was Filipino and her dad was a serviceman). SHe actually wondered if movie theaters in the states (and not on base) played the National Anthem before the movie.

(it's been 15 years since I've seen a movie on base... do they still do that??)

Yep, every time.

Seriously though, I'm done for the night.

Last weekend, I had the time of my life. This weekend, not so much. We're having a good-bye picnic for the newlyweds tomorrow. It'll be a sad sad day.

Oooohhhh!! I almost forgot!! I was going to buy a Fish Extender for DISTag from the woman on Ebay, but I decided I was going to make ours after all. We were at Wal-Mart tonight and I got the fabric for it. I have NO idea how it will turn out, but hopefully it will be ok. If not - hey - it was made with love (and it will look that way!)

When I finish it, I will post a picture! Of course, by the time I buy all the materials, it probably would have been cheaper for me to buy the one!

Chris - I think I would actually pay MONEY to watch that happen - especially my grandma. Of course, she had a stroke last year and while she's much better, I'd probably feel bad for giggling at her!

No - like 80s!! Hey - my mom is only 56, she's just a baby!!! Dad's a geezer... he's 62 (but still a hottie... I'll be posting a picture of him in a few minutes....)

Ok here is a picture of my daddy and my girls - swimming in the pool....

They have been having such a great time - and sleeping REALLY well at night!

That was our entire family last week in Georgia. We all slept really well. Tonight, the kids were up until 10!

Ok - we are really close to ANOTHER googley - I was going to head to bed, but I figure I will post a couple of other pictures of my monsters. They went shopping with my dad for pool toys. Papaw has trouble saying no to his only 2 grandkids....

I told them... just wait.... when my brother's twins are born in November - watch out - they will have some COMPETITION!!!!

I am feeling my bed calling me soon though. Elaine is waking up early, so I am sure I will wake up when she does. She is taking kids to camp in the morning. I am staying home to clean and watch our kids.

I have a feeling that Mike will get along FABULOUSLY with Dave (my DH). Sounds exactly like him!!! And he also has a big scar (where his kidney was removed when he was 16....) Guys with scars... I DIG them!!
