Try not to worry have you seen the size of that place:scared1:?,safe as houses there they even have Burger King and Pizza Hut there, It's half the size of England....:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

This is his second time over in Balad - I actually have a picture of a "Taco Bell" on the base. It's pretty safe and with him being in the Air Force and fixing planes, he's safe. Before he was married, he enjoyed being over there, but now with twins on the way, he's anxious to get the tour over and come home!

Karen, what is the DIbb itinerary planne? Is is something you purchased? If so, where? I just got my Passporter planner, but I'm all about other stuff too!

Thanks!

The Dibb is the UK version of the Dis

Its Cass and Robs on the 17th too.:lovestruc - which is also Jen Mouse's birthday! (and Brenda's aka Food porn queen too!)

Also:

Becca (Angie's daughter - GStroop28) will turn 8 the day we board:cutie:

and Stacy (ST cruisers) birthday is 21 Oct:banana:

Who else's celebration dates are actually while we're onboard or very close to??

I remember going round the ship last year delivering birthday and anniv cards on several days:goodvibes

DH's (Dave) birthday is 10/19 - once we had Becca, his birthday became kind of irrelevant (poor guy!!). We will celebrate his day there as well. :woohoo:

I love the lamb up there, but they do have a really good filet up there as well if you want beef.

You need to go there with us Dawg. I made a deal with AFEG, another meat and potato guy, that I would cover the dinner if he didn't have a good experience. I knew what he didn't want and told the waiter up front. He had an excellent meal. They even made him a Tuna Fish Pizza for an appetizer.

Karen and Neil had a great meal too on KK1 with us.

I'm a meat and potatoes girl and I still loved Palo, I found stuff that I could eat up there:thumbsup2
Sadly, I'm not cruising with you guys though:sad2:

Chuck has no interest in it whatsoever anymore. He won't go. He's happy with his chicken tenders and fries. :) Besides, he's got a hot date at the pool with my dates DW. :yay:

G'night L. :cutie:

So you guys are swinging couples huh?;)

Big Red - you've already met my DH!! I found photographic evidence of a meeting in December 2004 - how can you forget???:confused3

But, he's loved me for almost 15 years now.. you are but a scant memory! (Of course, his hair is ALOT more salt than black now, but he still has it all!)

Angie, you are too funny, boy you fit in with this group really quick!:thumbsup2

I let my son sign his, but he was 12 at the time. I think that if the can write (not print) their name, then let them do it :thumbsup2

At the Postal Service where we do passport applications, children under 16 are not allowed to sign anyway. Only the parents.

Good morning everyone. I am feeling a little better, so I am just going to relax today for one more day hoping I can kick this. I am watching The Dark Knight for about the 4th time in as many days on HBO right now. I guess I shouldn't complain as it is an excellent movie.

So, when we booked our outbound flight for the cruise, the airline's last non-stop was only at 2:55 in the afternoon. Not wanting to pull DS out of school anymore, we opted for the connecting flight at 6:13 arriving at 11:32. Now the darn airline moved the non-stop to 6:00 arriving around 9:30 or 9:45. I called to see if they'd put us over there, but nope, wouldn't budge.

Like it costs them anything to move us. The guy even said the fees are a main stream of revenue for them. I said, 'yeah, I know, you nickel and dime us for everything, even the first bag".

I should have said good thing Southwest is coming to Milwaukee, at least then we can escape all your fees.

We can fly standby, but we'd have to get to the airport early. But DS won't get out of school until 3:30. We won't get to the airport until 4:00. I'm sure any standby's will be gone by then.

Now if our current flight moves by 10 minutes, we are eligible for a free transfer. I have faith that AT will move that flight, heck they moved us one year 7 times in 6 months.
I remember you warning me about AirTran changing flight times, but they have yet to change ours. Perhaps that is a good sign. Once we flew to visit my parents at Christmas when they lived in Erie, PA. I booked with Continental and they changed my flights multiple times. They wanted me to have two connections, one in Newark and one in Cleveland. Samantha was just an infant, and I fought hard explaining that I had an infant and they put me on just the single connecting flight with no charge. It's frustrating. i think the flight was changed 2 to 3 times. A couple were small but others not so much. The interesting thing is, we ended up flying a codeshare on Northwest through Detroit. It was on Christmas Day and the pilots had to load our luggage as most of the ground crew called off despite triple time. We were also delayed leaving due to the ground crew not being around to push the plane back.

I started looking at them, but not really yet. I just got my 2009 passporter book in the mail today and I"m going to start gettig organize (DH just laughed and called me a nerd!):lmao::cool1:
Don't worry, DW calls me a geek, nerd all the time when it comes to cruise planning. You are in good company!

Hey, I know we haven't even sailed on this cruise yet, but is anyone looking at doing a 2010 cruise?

I currently hold a SPH for 10/23/2010 that I will be releasing back into inventory soon. If someone is interested, let me know, we can work on getting it to one of you. Just trying to help out a fellow BOBer.

Looking back, I should have just booked the non-stop at 2:55. More likely they would change that flight (either back to the evening or even by 30 minutes). That would have given me an out to move to the evening if they didn't move it to after 5:00. Now I know. Just book it and change when they move them.

Our outbound flight on 10/23 from Portland, Maine to Orlando is a 1:45 PM nonstop on JetBlue. I am really excited about that time. We don't have to get up early, and we can eat an early lunch at my parents house before headed to the airport.
