Hmmm. The idea is to get as many people on the scoreboard as possible, so we have a really tight race. I wasn't planning to post a winner for each thread, since the idea is for the number to be cumulative across current and future threads. We may have to get a ruling from MG on this one.

The game is the most fun when people battle each other when it gets close. That's when the 40 second rule can kill you.

I just got off the phone with my mother and it sounds like we will all be staying in one of the values on 10/31. Their feeling is, "we are only sleeping there" so why spend a lot of money. If we were going for an extended vacation, we may stay somewhere else.

Now...do we stay at Movies or Pop??? I have not yet stayed at Movies, and I know the kids would love the large movie icons. The Pop was fun though.

Nope.

One year at DL I dressed up as a CM. I actually had people walking up to me to ask quesions. I wore my office attire and just added a DL name tag that had been sold as a souvenir on Main Street.

Nobody from Disney seemed to mind. I actually answered the questions that I was asked too. (Maybe some of the Disney folks thought I was a supervisor with my shirt and tie.)

Chuck got in trouble once for going to a Halloween party as a Postal Worker. He had his dad's uniform on and someone made a stink about him impersonating a federal employee.

I need to go make some lunch for myself. I'm home with DS and he didn't want to eat. Not sure what he's sick with. We have 6:30 appt tonight. He woke up this morning crying with really bad pains in his stomach. No appetite today and very tired. Plus a raspy cough and other aches.

Poor little guy. I've been sick for two days myself. Dry cough and laryngitis! I've been trying to tell my boss that I have the Swine FLu hoping they'd shut the place down for a week or 6.

Hey everyone...

A little drama in our house this afternoon. I was spreading some lime in the front yard, and after the bus stopped, I heard DD wailing as she came up the street.

On the bus on the way home, she found a tick on her neck and was all worked up. Last year, she got Lyme Disease, after we found a tiny deer tick on her. This was the larger dog tick, so I assured her she would be ok. As she was doing her homework, she kept telling me how "buggy" she felt.

She must have got it on her in school, as Elaine would have spotted it when she did her hair this morning. Her school is kind of in the woods and has a lot of grass around it.

She is fine now. She finished her homework, and darted outside!

Awww, poor little Schnookie.

One year they sent us Mickey and Minnie on our 7-day hoppers. I grabbed Mickey like there was no tomorrow....Rob says "Hey, how did I get stuck with the tramp???" (ok, it was a much less Disneyfied word than tramp)

I can only imagine what he did call her.

Robin was going through pics tonite but got sidetracked planning our trip to Iowa this weekend for her graduation.
she got a notice saying if the weather was bad, graduation will be moved to sunday. that cant happen. we have a 9 hr drive to get home.

And Postal Employees aren't Federal Gov't employees, so we're told. I know their website does not end in .gov.

Still no answers. Went to the Dr and they took a chest x-ray. Dr wants the radiologist to read it to see for sure what it is. She says he should have an answer by tomorrow morning.

Poor guy, he was scared going in tonight. Threw up while we were there too. Says he just wants to go back to school and feel better. Needless to say he is out again tomorrow until we hear from the Dr.

Wow, I am surprised they didn't say anything to you! I know they really discourage any adults dressing up as characters that look real (like they work there) and when they see costumes that look real, they ask the person not to pose for photos with guests or offer signatures.

I can see why...they don't want someone else other than Disney-trained employees representing themselves as real CM's.

Personally, I find it too hot to dress up in a costume I try to wear something Halloween-ish though

I wasn't in a character costume. I had just come home from work, so I had on suit pants, a long sleeved white shirt and a tie. I simply added a nametag. I certainly wasn't asked to pose with anybody and I wasn't trying to pretend that I was a real cast member by my actions. But "real" Disney employees certainly saw me and I think anyone who looked closely realized that the nametag was a "souvenir" and not a real CM nametag. This would have been sometime in the early 1990s before we had kids.
