10/24/2009 Bash On the Boat (I'm with B.O.B.) - Thread #18

I got off the plane in Chicago last night with my shorts and crocs w/ no socks last night. It was only 10* F air temp (below 0* w/ the windchill). It was mighty cold last night. However, they're talking about 40*+ this weekend. :cool1:

We heard about all the snow England was getting. Even with it, the flights this week from there were on time surprisingly.

Suz was telling me that Chris was giving Hazel grief for packing her Ugg's and a jacket. Wonder who's complaining now. :rotfl2:

I believe their kids were out of school 2 days this week.

Croc's and shorts...Man, are you mad?

Good for Hazel for thinking ahead.

So, are they ever going to close down Thread #17?

Has anyone sent a Mod a PM yet on it? I see people posting over still this morning.

I think Mary used to close for us, but she's been out of action lately.

Mary is no longer a mod, she won't be able to close the threads anymore......:guilty:

Nancy- glad it went well...

I thank you for your optimism Joanne. I'm praying that when I get my results in 8 more days that things really did go well. :thumbsup2

Is it something like this???

A dosimetrist is a member of a radiation oncology team who specializes in the operation of radiation equipments (ie. linear accelerator) and calculations of dosages in cooperation with oncologists. According to the AAMD (American Association of Medical Dosimetrists), the Medical Dosimetrist is a member of the radiation oncology team who has knowledge of the overall characteristics and clinical relevance of radiation oncology treatment machines and equipment, is cognizant of procedures commonly used in brachytherapy and has the education and expertise necessary to generate radiation dose distributions and dose calculations in collaboration with the medical physicist and radiation oncologist.

See? She is a smarty. :)

Nancy - here is some pixiedust:

Not mad, just that a little bit of cold doesn't affect me too much when I'm so warm. I did put my jeans and socks on before I walked out of the terminal though this time.

Allow me to explain your cold weather.

When I got on the plane to come home, I had this conversation:

Flight attendant: How are you today?

Me: I am fine. How are you?

Flight attendant: I'm fine too except for the fact that this plane is going to New Jersey!

Me: Oh, yeah? Well, I brought the good weather down with me and I can take it back with me. (70's and sunny while we were there, have pictures to prove it!)

Flight attendant: hahahaha!

Me: Bwhahahahahah!

So sorry I caused your cold weather Joanne!

Please come take it back!!!!! There were people walking the beach in winter clothes.

Setting the bar low these days now, huh Walt? Must be prepping yourself for retirement. :lmao:
Welcome Back Jeff,

Yep, no worries about being number 1 in the office...:rotfl2: ;)

Di mentioned that she might want to join the 4th of July picnic..:snooty:

Could you tell me where and when, so I can see if it fits into our travels this summer...;) :moped:

Have a great day catching up...:goodvibes

Walt :cool1:

Pictures are downloaded now. I took the time before getting ready for work to do it. Just have to go through them, see which are clear and then categorize them.

From both cards we only had 277 pics (since we didn't go off and do anything the number was down). Figure 5% wasted pics (blurry, etc) and many that WON'T be posted on the DIS, I probably still have 200+.

I should be able to find a good 30-40 to put in groups to post. Hope that isn't too many.

Ummm....July 4th? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That would be cool though if you could make it up. I'll PM you when we get a little closer and when we know it is a definite go (which it should be). :cool1:

O.K., now I really have to get ready for work. Have to get DS out the door to school in 10 minutes. Hope I make it.

Good morning everyone.

It was 7 here when I got out of bed, and 9 when I took the kids to the bus stop. This winter is getting old really fast!

Welcome back Jeff. Glad to hear you had a good time south of the border. I'll send a PM to a mod to have them close the thread.

Never too many pictures:cool1:

I posted this on the other thread, but I want to re-post it in case Mel is lurking....

Good morning everyone. I woke up this morning with Mel on my mind.

Mel, are you around here somewhere? I am wondering if your brother is still deployed? I had an appointment at Walter Reed Army Hospital yesterday, and as I walked in the door, the sights I saw reminded me that even as my life goes on and on, there are men and women who have their (family) life on hold and are fighting in a war. So, if you're reading this, Mel, please know that your brother, and all other deployed service members (UK & other countries, too) are in my prayers......

Sorry to be a little sappy this morning, y'all, but yesterday was an eye-opener for me......

Y'all have a great day!
