Kathy I am sure you are thrilled to be going to the World. I know if I was just 3 days away, I wouldn't be able to think about anything other than the trip. Before our last cruise, we had a short work week due to the Labor Day holiday. I started my vacation that week on Thursday as well because we had originally thought we would drive. Also during that week, I had to drive to Boston so I think I had 1 full day in the office.

I am excited and it is hard to concentrate! Luckily, I got all the big stuff done, so I'm just moving some numbers into a spreadsheet right now and sneaking in DISing in between! Even though my trip counter says 3 days, I'm actually arriving in FL on Sat - I was able to get a free 1st class ticket (at the low mile price) by going a day early. But I won't get to the World until Sunday.

Does anyone know the contact phone number where someone can reach me should an emergency happen while on the cruise. I know it is some sort of 800 number but NOT toll free!

The best thing about the 1st class ticket is that I can check 2 bags for free, so if we buy a few extra things, I won't have to worry about paying for an extra bag! The 2nd best thing is the BIG seat and getting on the plane early. Oh wait, that's 2nd & 3rd best things.

Yeah that worries me a bit as Elaine is a notorious overpacker. Right now Delta has the cheapest flights from the 3 or 4 airports that are close to us. Southwest will release their dates sometime this summer and they don't charge the extra fees, but Delta does. The thing that worries me is that Southwest has not been cheap on flights to Florida from NE airports. If anything it has been as much as the legacy airlines.

Well I am back from doing some running around. I made a quick stop at Verizon Wireless to make some changes to my account and was happy to find out I can get a new phone in just three weeks. For the past few months, I have had my heart set on a Blackberry and now I will have one sooner rather than later! The phone I have now is ok, but it isn't very user friendly.

Looks like they get you one way or another!

I've got about another 15 minutes, then it's back to the curb meters. I left them for after lunch to give the ground time to warm up a bit, makes it easier to open the meter lids.......

The DCL website says that character breakfasts are offered on 7 night cruises. So it looks like the answer would be no.

So did everyone watch Biggest Loser last night? I have a feeling there is going to be some tension in the house now!

I watched it for the first time last night... what the heck happened??? First thing I thought of "is this survivor???" get rid of the people doing well so you don't look like crap? ok granted he didn't do well.. but he had a awsome outlook.. and did you see how hot his wife got?!?!?!?! wow they did well even with not being on the show anymore

I personally wish the show was more of no one gets voted off and the person in the end with the most weight lost (percentage wise) wins, with the challenges in between having some sort of prize. That way everyone gets to do the program.

Just read all the posts about Biggest Loser. I too was surprised but when I thought about it I think they were figuring that Carla needed to be brought back since they are the biggest team I think. Damien would have more support at home. Did you see the preview? Looks like the choice is between the 2 young men.

A warm and sunny 34!!! This is supposed to be the end of it. We should be in the 50's by the week end.

And it was 29 in Maine when I went walking at noon.

Why are they not moderators any more? I wonder what happened?

Took a walk the other day only about 6 or 7 blocks and had my daughter complain nearly the whole way there and back again. It brought a wave of horror onto both Laura and I. We're going to be in WDW in less than 3 weeks with all that walking to do and our DD can barely walk to an ice cream shop! I went home and did an internet search and found a company that rents strollers to people in the WDW area. Nice ones! Not the horrible ones that they rent in the parks. So for less than the amount that the park rental would have been, we have a nice stroller to take in the parks. And I don't even have to lug it through airports!

Isn't it amazing how far you walk when in WDW, and then when at home you revert back to using a car.

As far as BOB goes, since I have bought my Air, I can finalize some plans. We coming into town on Thursday. (air was cheaper that way) and will be staying two nights at the raddison. Still debating on what to do for Friday. Thinking that we may do the Kennedy Space Center in the Morning and then MNSSHP that night. We'll be coming right home after the cruise.

There is loads to explore around the port area. Rick and I keep saying that we must spend some time down there. Pick up a local map when you get there.
