oh yes, by the two with out kids......

Oh that is true - I had forgotten they didn't have kids. Perhaps they will think clearly of that decision as it has played out in their lives so far; maybe that is best for them.

!

Welcome home, I so don't want to go back to work!

Me either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to win the lottery - a big payout lottery. Of course, I don't play the lottery, so it would take the winning ticket blowing across my feet or something.

You are so right, kids are not for every one. I do love mine dearly though....#2 had a long drive to key west today. He said traffic on 95 was awful, took them longer than expected. I hope he has a blast. He is only 20 so I hope he makes good choices and the bars ID every one:rolleyes1

It'a amazing how much work is envolved bringing a big screen TV in the house. Had to move entertainment centers around. The dish guy was here for 3 hours. We now have 2 dishes. loks like a tv station out there.

Walt and I just watched our Spurs win :cheer2: :cheer2: at home on our tv while Asiah, Erika, Kristen and Elijah went to the game in person. They had a great time. How lucky are they. It is 11 PM ready for bed. Talk to you all tomorrow. Diane

I hope he does too! I so love Key West! The last time I was there (and it has been a while) I found a lovely local place - a hole in the wall really - that had the best conch fritters and coconut ice cream! Yum!

We've talked about switching to the dish - how do you like it?

We have tickets to an NBA game in Jan. - our Christmas present to ourselves - taking the Amtrak Downeaster to Boston to see the Celtics.

I am actually going to try my hand at a trip report this time :mic:. We are staying in the Concierge level of the Contemporary (Atrium Club) and doing some interesting things old and new - Disney Quest, La Nouba, Hoop Dee Doo Review, 'Ohana Character Breakfast, the Concierge Safari and checking out the the New Wave restaurant. And I'm guessing I will sneak in a spa-ah appointment in there somewhere, since the Grand Floridian Spa is only a monorail ride away. So, there should be some fun stuff to write about.

Have fun Cathy say hi to Frank. Wish we were there with you.

PS Cathy keep working on him we need him on the cruise.

Good Morning Everyone! It is a lazy Sunday morning in our house - everyone is still injoying the massive cooking and baking efforts of the last week. We need to rake the yard, but it keeps raining every day. I guess that gives us a good excuse to just kick back and relax some more! :rotfl2:

She is going to have a blast on this trip! Between this and Hawaii later before our cruise, Kathy may be ready to really rest on the Bash. I wish Frank could go too!

OK, now that Christmas is over and knowing that there will be sales in January, I have a question for those of you who have done a 7 day before. How dressy is the formal night? I read somewhere about tuxedo rentals & also saw pictures of ladies in long gowns. On the members cruises we've done even the so called dress-up night wasn't very dressy. Also, how dressy is semi-formal? Since my basic retirement wardrobe consists of mostly jeans & T-shirts/sweatshirts I might need to upgrade it!! Thanks.

Celtics is my team too. Remember Doc Rivers was a Spur. My brother John goes to some of the games. He says the tickets are hard to get. I love all the New England teams. Sox's, Patriots, Celtics. Hope the Patriots win today. My mother keeps me informed about all the teams. She is a real sports fan. I don't keep up with the Bruins. I should since my nephews play hockey and may someday be a star. My grandson Elijah has all the shirts from all the teams. He wears them all the time. He even has green Celtic Converse. Diane

Nancy - I have wondered about this too. I mean on other lines, I have seen anything from jeans (which really is somewhat inconsiderate) to the tux and beaded gowns. I have even worn the beaded gowns. I have some formals I am thinking about for this cruise, and like you're saying, I got them on major sale after the holiday. So, those of you have done a Disney 7 day before and partake of the formal night as a formal night - how formal is it?

Gee, I don't remember Doc with the Spurs. I do remember him with the Atlanta Hawks & coaching the Magic..... The Bruins are doing well this season - I think they have an 8 or 9 game winning streak going. I watch it some but most of my hockey viewing is with our 12 year old grandson, Jason, who plays on 2 teams! Keeps us very busy in the winter.

So while Rob was playing his new PS3 game last night, I decided to figure out what we will be doing at the ports :thumbsup2

Our choices are rather limited since Kira will be almost 3.

I wanted to go to Trunk Bay when we go to St Thomas but after figuring out the costs and the time to travel there and back, I think it would be better to stick closer to the ship. I`ve narrowed it down to a few choices but I am leaning towards going to Emerald Beach. It has a nice resort there and it`s not busy. We just want a not-so crowded beach for Kira to play on for a few hours.

And in St. Maarten, I think we will head to Divi Little Bay. Same deal, close to ship, not so crowded, little resort with bathroom facilities and a nice little beach. And if I am feeling adventurous, I may make a Spa appointment there :thumbsup2 I`m not a spa girl but they have a nice Pedi-Spa treatment with a leg and foot rub that I might try :cloud9:

So, who else knows what they will be doing in port ?

We're leaving the excursions up to the kids. Whatever they all decide on is good with us. It'll give us something to plan one night. We loved grilling out and sitting in the gazebo planning our KK cruise.

We did the Island Drive and Explorer cruise in St Martin last time and really enjoyed it. In St Thomas we did one of those local tours on the back of a pick up truck. We really did enjoy that too although we never realized we could barter with the pricing though. We'll know better next time.

I really wanted to do Maho Beach but it doesn't sound do-able anymore. Not only that, but I'm too chicken to book something "Non-Disney" that takes you that far from the ship.

Tony and I have been clicking on the links in your BOBer site though and found a few things worth considering.:yay:

Just wondering....is the DIS running a little weird lately? There are days when I can't get into my pm's or our thread. I keep getting an "unauthorized access" error. :confused3

Have I insulted the DISgods and got kicked out??? :worship:

Most times I have to take a back door approach to get to the DISboards.

Anyone, anyone????

Although we weren't on as much during the days leading up to Christmas, we didn't notice anything strange when we did go on.
