For anyone that has done MNSSHP and stayed on property...

Do they have buses/monorail/etc. running back to the hotels after the party? How does that work? Is there any advantage to staying at a property closer to the Magic Kingdom (say, Poly) as opposed to further away (like one of the All-Star's?).

Thanks in advance for any insight...we only did the cruise last time - I haven't really ever done any WDW research (can you believe it!!! )

We've always stayed on property, so that would also be for MNSSHP.

The buses run for at least 1 hour after the party, maybe 2. It is no problem staying at a property that services the MK via bus.

No advantage to staying closer unless you feel you need to get back to your room 10-15 minutes quicker.

We're debating mnsshp too Jen. We wanted to go on Thursday before the BOB but since we are probably flying Air Tran and they are notorious for switching flight times at the last minute, I'm not willing to shell out over $100.00 and then chance missing the party.

I'm afraid Saturday the 31st will be crazy busy too.

I think we might be leaning towards Cirque for the 31st instead.

Air Tran, even though they change their flight times, won't screw you up enough to miss the party. They will have 2, if not 3, non-stops from MKE to MCO. If they change the schedule, you may move from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m., but they won't move you to 3:00 or 4:00 in the afternoon. That would be the evening people who get moved to it. If you book on the morning flight, you will arrive in time for the party.

Plus, if they move you to the afternoon, you can always request to be on the first flight down connecting in Atlanta. They'll switch you to it for free if they have a schedule change.

If we do MNSSHP, it will be on the Thur before the cruise. We plan on booking the early flight on AT. If MNSSHP is not offered (in 2008, it was not available on the Th before the 22nd, which would be our cruise weekend. Funny, they didn't have it on the Friday before the KK either. They don't like us), we'll probably just hang by the hotel pool.

Let's see. The b-day started with me shoveling the driveway. Then work.

Tonight will be going out for Mexican (my favorite) and then family time. I'm thinking Wii with DS. Suz may join us. I'm getting really good at bowling now. Not as good as some people are, but consistantly getting over 200. Maybe some Mario Kart so I can do better at the "rally" this weekend with my UK friends.

It was originally £29.99.

Tomorrow.... and Shhreks Donkey would say...."I'm making WAFFLES!"

If they turn out ok tomorrow I'll photograph myself with a waffle on my head

we love ours. we've had it for years.

Speaking of Dawg, I think of you every time I take I-94 into Milwaukee. There is a billboard that says, "don't be in the Dawg house". Something to do with divorce/marriage counselling, but Dawg is there in BIG letters.

I only get 22-24 points a day (I never use flex points or any workout credit points either). I've been saving my points for dinner tonight. I'm sure I'll blow a lot going out for Mexican. I only did 3 pts on my breakfast and 6 points on my lunch (2 Fresco Ranchero Chicken Soft Tacos at Taco Bell ).

BTW, MD (a/k/a afeg), you will lose the weight loss bet we have.

I was going to put the qualifier in there stating that the theme has nothing to do with you. Guess I should have.

Although, I'm sure there is nothing a puppy wouldn't be able to get you out of.

Just stay away from the Guakamoli (SP!) and stick to chicken and you should be fine.
